We have been coming to PAdstow for over 15 years and never managed to get into this great historic family house. At last we were in Padstow when the house was open - we took the guded tour which was very informative. Thanks you

This beautiful stately home is well known to most who visit Padstow. It is often used for filming German soaps/films and has been known to film other American / UK films. During peak season it is very popular with visitors and there are often coach loads of visitors having guided tours. The setting and gardens are lovely to visit and... More

A lovely place, used for film sets. Lots of history and lovey deer in the park. You can walk from Padstow town.

This lovely place was closed when we first visited in November 2010 and we were indeed happy to be included with a tour when we arrived the second time. The tour guide knew the whole history of the place and the families that made it such an exhilarating place to see with views up to the ROCK and the Camel... More

A lovely way to spend an afternoon. The house is by guided tour and very worth seeing. The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and interesting. Very good for adults, but I don't think it would really be for children. Gardens are beautiful and you are free to wander around and the deer park is pretty - the deer came right... More

Really enjoyed our afternoon visit here. Operates with guided tours which are very informative and interesting. Great for us adults, not really for kids. Still has the lived in feel, because it is. Finished off with a lovely cream tea. Recommended if you like history as we do...the grounds are nice too.

This is a beautiful house and gardens which are both extremely well maintained. The guide was knowledgeable and interesting and made the 1.5 hrs tour of the house pass very quickly. The house and its many contents make for an interesting visit. There is a beautiful herd of fallow deer on the estate - and you need to allow yourselves... More

A very wet day in padstow today so we had to look for alternative activity and we found Prideaux Place home to the descendants of William the Conquerer (only found that out today). The tours last one and a half hours in the house and a full ticket cost £9 we arrived at 1430 so sat in the tea room... More

Beautiful house and grounds. Guided tour by Jim made the house come to life. Lovely pit stop in the cafe for lunch, with cheerful staff throughout the visit . Glad I don't have to do the dusting.
