We chose to do this very last minute while in Padstow as the weather was so nice. It was excellent value at £7.50 each (cards and cash accepted). It was a fun exhilarating trip round the bay and they kept groups of people from different houses in different sections of the boats so felt very safe.

We have literally just returned from our speed boat trip in Padstow, we went on the Fire Ball boat. We sat at the very back with our two boys, age 5 and 12 and were advised we would get wet, but we were well prepared with waterproofs, so happy to sit there!) We got a great view of the estuary, saw Daymer Bay and enjoyed the views, then we really got going, the boat was opened at full throttle and my two boys giggled and laughed and screamed and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, so wonderful to watch them enjoy it as much as they did! I thought it was good value at £7.50 each for a 15 minute trip around the bay, and I would encourage anyone in Padstow to go on this trip, and the best thing is you just turn up and pay on the boat, no booking required, and there are 3 boats so lots of opportunity to go on a trip.

As we were waiting for the ferry we had the great view of watching these boats be loaded with customers. I watched as a couple were seated in the boat and waited to depart. As time ticked on more customers came including a party of 3 that sat behind them and a party of 2 who sat at the front part of the boat. Later a party of 4 made their way down to the boat and I was in utter shock when the couple were asked to squeeze right next to the party of 2 (to fit more people on the boat) especially bearing in mind that covid-19 is still a thing. Instead of them asking for the latest party to wait for another boat they insisted on the couple being in close proximity (shoulder to shoulder) to the other people. So understandly, the couple had to leave the boat as they weren't comfortable. It's a shame as you could see how excited the couple was for that boat ride.

Yet again we need to justify ourselves and rightly so ! In this instance yes as you stated and so observantly noticed the loading order of said boat the couple were asked if they would mind sharing a seat in which case face masks and sanitisers would be available as all boats carry and offer this passengers unlike the ferry it’s not a requirement on the speedboats if a couple dosnt want to share a seat they are offered the option to pay for whole seat unlike other boats the speedboats have not put price up we keep our price as low and fair as possible and no this is not any reason to justify asking another couple to sit with another couple we are really sorry the couple in question decided not to go on this trip dispite having two options we really arnt all bad it’s four little combined businesses trying to make a living in these troubled times so we thankyou for your review and will do all we can to do better

Visited Padstow with the wife and dog and I took the trip solo as don’t think the dog wld have liked it! I loved it, was great fun and for £7.50 well worth it! Slow out the harbour and a great view. Then giving it some beans on the sea, a few twist and turns to get bit of a spray up! Highly recommended
