Played the Church course the last week in July 2020, paid £95 for the privilege (without a buggy). Worth it. Golf on holiday is always expensive: you just have to accept it. First 3-4 holes it was cold and windy but when the sun came out it brings the place to life: the views are amazing, this is a great course and a proper test. Thoroughly recommended.

We are four amateur, high teens handicap index Golfers, and booked this course through a golf travel company. It is an unassuming amazing golf course. It has a range, good practice facilities and putting greens. A well stocked pro shop and lovely restaurant, eat in or out. We arrived massively early and found all tee times booked before us which was fine. So went on the range, but was shortly advised by the starter and ranger that we could go early after all. Brilliant. The course is so undulating, up and down, narrow fairways, very linksy and true greens. A great test. There are rangers patrolling to keep the pace up and stop any unruly people on the course which is great. When we finished we had drinks and were served by really friendly staff. All in all this is a great place. I have no comments and would play here every day. Enjoy

What a great golf course, and what a well run Clubhouse given the current climate.
Four of us took part in an Open, and it was superb, the course was extremely well presented and we had a great time.
Slick greens and lush fairways, and the views, OMG the views, absolutely to die for, loved it!

The clubhouse was warm and welcoming and the food, staff and service was excellent.

We look forward to going back in the future.

I booked in the spring on behalf of a group of friends from a club in West Dorset. The staff member quoted a price of £42.50 per person. We arrived and were greeted by a most unfriendly little man, who demanded the full green fee payment of £105 per person. I reminded him of this arrangement and was told that effectively I was lying about the price that I had been quoted. This became an embarrassing dispute in a busy foyer. Heather came along and confirmed the lunch order . I returned to my car and showed her my original notes made after my arrangements made with Sarah. Heather sought higher authority. She would not budge from a final figure of £45 per person. She stated that I had mistakenly been quoted the previous winter's green fees. Mysteriously there was no trace of Sarah to support my account. Heather seemed the only friendly face amongst the staff It left a nasty taste. We went into the bar to have coffee. An officious young man, rudely told one member to remove his hat and took our order in a very unfriendly manner. we felt unwelcome and to be hurried out. Sarah also had advised us that I was to arrange our nearest the pin and longest drive competition with the duty pro. This was denied by the duty pro and I would have to reattend the reception for arrangements to be made. We have decided in future years, during our annual trip to the west country courses, to avoid this club like the plague. We felt grudgingly tolerated, rather than welcomed

Hostile and almost aggressive welcome at the clubhouse. Bad attitude.
Abrupt rude staff working in the club house. ie."you cant sit there!"
"take your cap off they are not allowed".
Lovely views, but there are many many more UK courses I would rather play.

course 140 yeas old just laid out on the terrain of that time. Up and down and across Views fabulous, interesting all the way. Greens in excellent shape, A little long for a 74 year old but had a great time. Played it two times fun 3 days. A strenuous walk but doable Staff welcoming and very friendly

Frustrated! I am walking from Rock to Polzeath .. I go up the hill, cross over the Terrace and - following the public footpath sign go past the car park, bear right following the obvious track, past some bushes and come out on a sort of cross roads in the middle of the course. There's a sign saying 'follow the white stones.' But there are no stones. My OS map says the path goes pretty much down the hill and up the other side. I walk down the hill but there's no way out. I walk about on the edge a bit, then back up to the top. The golfers are cheery and say they don't know (they're not local). There's nobody on a mower to help.. In the end I have to walk round through St Minver. Back on the north side of the golf course, yep, there's a sign - and bramble-filled track.
Put your white stones down.
Clear the path.
Its the law.

This club sets cruel animal traps which harm and kill wildlife. Due to the proximity to a dog friendly beach the traps are also harming the pets of people walking nearby.
This practice must be stopped.

Visited today to arrange to play 2 rounds tomorrow, we are both single figure handicap golfers. The staff were rude & bad mannered, not what we expected at all. We were told by the old gentlemen bar tender that we were unable to have drinks or lunch today Sunday because we hadn't played golf today but tomorrow after we had played our golf we could. As you can well imagine we were furious. So as a result we decided not to play tomorrow Monday, they can stuff their course with that attitude. I went straight in the pro shop & told them about it & promptly spent a couple pounds on golf clothes. Apparently the pro shop & the golf club are run independently, there is definitely a bad atmosphere about the club when that happens. Having played Wentworth, the Berkshire & Sunnindale golf clubs which are all superb who in the hell do St.Enodoc think they are. Be sure we will tell all golfers what an awful pretentious club it is, save your money & spend it on playing a quality club like those mentioned or Saunton in North Devon which has two great courses, great food & friendly staff & pro.
