Fair to play , with beautiful holes like a typical links course - a must play if you are in the area and a course which ranks in the "top's to play" fro the right reasons ... good caddies, the course in good condition - enjoyed it a lot!

North Berwick West Cours is a classic links course and a fantastic experience! the layout of the course is always challenging and the views of the sea astonishing all the time. It is not cheap but absolutely worth the price. The staff at the clubhouse were so nice and welcoming, hope I can come back some time.

As a pretty basic 25 handicapper, I can now say North Berwick is my favourite course. I quite like playing one level below the premium championship course level and North Berwick is a beautifully crafted and maintained course running along the Firth of Forth. The rough gives you a chance and the distance isn't overwhelming ( Gullane 1 is 1,500... More

Links course right in town and along the beach. Excellent variety of holes and beautiful views. It is a must play if in the area. The wind really makes this a real test. If you slice your opening tee shot you get to go down to the beach and socialize with all the beach walkers.

North Berwick is truly a gem and an absolute must play for any avid golfer who is visiting Scotland’s east cost. Just 45 minutes from Edinburgh, it offers a unique links golf experience with some truly memorable holes. The course has been in existence since the 1830s and many holes hug the south shore of the Firth of Forth offering... More

North Berwick is a great course. It doesn't quite play in the same league as some of the other big names in the area, but great value for money. The holes a varying and require tactical play which makes it very interesting. The fairways are fairly wide and in most of the rough ares balls can be found. Green fees... More

An historic golf club with some historic bunkers and golf holes. If it's windy, the course are more than difficult for some, without wind/breeze it's not an ease course, but lovely. I strongly recommend to play if you are in the North Berwick area, don't miss it.

I visited this golf course based on recommendations from family members. The people in the pro shop were friendly and accomdating. But when I entered the club house it felt as if I was something that was not supposed to be there. Are guests not welcomed here?

We played early in our golf expedition; had an excellent caddie (Alec). The course played about 4 hours 10 minutes. It doesn't seem difficult while you are playing it, but one's score ends up not too impressive, due to 70+ bunkers (most of the steep wall type we found everywhere on the links courses). There were examples of combined fairways.... More
