Just home after a splendid week in Wells. We stayed in an apartment overlooking the harbour, where there was always something going on. We spent many a relaxing hour watching the tide coming in and going out, the hard working fishermen loading up and going...More

Before travelling down Beach Road to the Beach check out the Lifeboat Horse Sculpture on the mudflat near the Harbour. It is a 3 metre tall sculpture designed and made by Rachael Long and has now been purchased by Wells to make it a permanent...More

Visited Wells a few times now. We park in the Wells town carpark which is £5 for all day. Then get the little train to Pinewoods holiday park which is £1.50p each. But still another walk to the Cafe the beach round the corner.

Beautiful sandy beach at Wells. It is a bit of a walk from the town but well worth it. The beach huts add a splash of colour, and the coniferous trees that run next to the beach give a contrasting background. There are designated areas...More

It's a chilly day in Autumn but the kids are building sandcastles with hoodies on. The children have the hoodies on, not the sandcastles. Plenty of local facilities close to hand and crab fishing par excellence. Plenty of local shops sell crab lines. You fish...More

We have swum regularly here, check the tide times first to avoid a long walk. We love to swim on the incoming tide as when the sea comes back over the hot sand the water is lovely and warm.

No it doesn’t come right in there is still plenty of beach even at high tide You would have to check high tide times in June to know when Hugh tide is.
