Went there on a lovely sunny day. Plenty of flowers and shrubs, wildlife, and pretty walks, with seating areas to rest up. Little cafe for snacks etc., Walkways accessable if anyone using mobility scooter, or walkers. Large pond areas . I wouldn't think it was a good place for children as no play area, I think they would be bored.... More

As a pretty keen gardener from Australia and New Zealand I was looking forward to seeing some English gardens. Of course we were traveling in late winter so it was great to see that these gardens were still open to visit. We met the owner and she was really lovely and great to talk to about the history of the... More

As the title says this garden is laid out around a series of lakes and waterways. There is a wildlife hide and lots of plants of all sorts not just water lovers. There are a number of well marked paths which make an interesting walk. The tearoom was simple but pleasant and there were lots of good value plants to... More

A friend recommended a visit here and on the way to the Norfolk coast we went. It was April so spring flowers and new growth everywhere. We loved all the little paths meandering round across bridges and with new views everywhere. The tea rooms are good too, very helpful staff and a good cake selection for my husband.

This quite a unique place to visit if you like gardens with mature trees and shrubs, ponds and wildlife. We managed a fleeting glimpse of a kingfisher! There is a nature trail, four main ponds, a natural trout stream and numerous wide grass pathways with several wooden benches if you wish to take a rest or just enjoy the scenery.... More

What a delight these gardens are even in Autumn. We turned one corner and there was a lily pond and Monet's bridge. Not too much walking just for the formal gardens and there is a nature reeve and trail too if you like a good hike. Cafe with cakes tea etc. Bird hide over the river. saw Nuthatches going around... Took friends to visit this beautiful piece of 'Gods Own County'. Would be hard to beat if you are looking for a day of calm reflection. Nature at it's best...and a kingfisher flew over.

We visited here on a lovely day in July. The gardens are not enourmous but the way they are laid out makes them seem much bigger than they are. We spent nearly 4 hours here. The whole place is so peaceful and tranquil with ponds and bridges all over. There is also a lovely nature walk and a hide where... More

The gardens were nicely laid out with ponds and bridges around every corner. There is a pleasant nature walk and a hide where one can see Kingfishers if you are lucky. Unfortunately I was not but the visitors before me were able to get some amazing photos.
