Newly renovated, not half bad

Decent little museum that gives a quick history of the area. The museum consists of mainly a single room display area followed by a quick tour of the prison area. Interesting and a quick simple attraction.

Having recently moved to the area, I wanted to visit the renovated 'Gaol House' which is now part of a larger exhibition complex called Stories of Lynn. There were some great treasures on display, and in particular we enjoyed the interactive elements which were on offer (even if the bridge construction display wasn't possible to complete). Great for families of... More

Please don't come to King's Lynn expecting to visit the Old Gaol House. It is currently being re-furbished (and has been closed all year). The building will open again in 2016.

Lovely to see a piece of Lynn's heritage. Again not open all year round and should be.. Supposed to be haunted and I imagine a good few prisoners died there!!

Brilliant place to visit, we found it very interesting and you could really understand exactly how it was years ago!! We'd liked all the exhibits that were on display.

Took my kids a couple of times and they enjoyed it. As you walk in you go into an old style police station and you can take your own finger prints on a sheet which the kids found fun. It's not bad for the price and I'd go again

I looked up the goals before we went to King's Lynn and it looked fascinating! When we got there it had been closed for a few months! Nothing on the internet had said it was shut down! Apparently it's opening again in 2016 as The story of Lynn!

Kings Lynn has so many beautiful buildings and when you live here you tend to not see them. We enjoyed the old gaol house.
