Just had a two scoop ice cream in a tub and although the ice cream was nice it was without doubt the smallest portion I have ever had, definitely not worth the money. I literally got about a quarter of a normal expected portion!
We had a short visit to the castle and stopped in the shop for refreshments. Service was friendly and attentive, drinks nice and priced appropriately.
There was a good selection of cakes and ice creams on offer too.
I do like a good ice cream parlour... one that makes its own ice cream and gives proper thought to flavours ...and that's at the core of what they do at Brough Castle.
