Pass through the church yard and you get the most wonderful view of the river and surrounding area. A typical view that makes England so special.

This is a wonderful view of the River Lune after a very pleasant riverside walk. It is said to be a favourite spot of the art critic, artist and poet John Ruskin. Stand or sit and take in the beauty and tranquility of the area.

Kirby Lonsdale is well worth a visit and Ruskin View sparkled in the spring sunshine. The whole area is very well kept and reflects a pride taken. We followed a town trail which we picked up from the tourist info .

English countryside at its best, even on a dull day you could see for miles. Hopefully next time the sun will come out for us.

Beautiful! Just a minutes walk through the well maintained church yard and then...this stunning view! I can't believe I've lived so long not knowing about Kirby Lonsdale and Ruskin's view and the lovely walk along the River Lune!

You can sit and take in the view or walk high up along the river and see it far below you. Absolutely stunning view and peaceful and relaxing on a March day. People walking by with their dogs and it's a bit muddy further round...More
