    Ideal place for families
Gorgeous setting for a nice walk, especially with nice weather. There’s a great play park for young children, plenty of green space for dogs/children, and gorgeous riverside walks to explore. The park is perfectly centred in marlow too, for the shops, bars, cafes, pubs etc to make the most of your visit.

    Day out with the children
Visited this park with my daughter-in-law and 4 year old grandaughter and my grandaughter and her 15 month daughter. The play park was very enjoyable for both children. The additional play resource of a bouncy castle and the carousel though additional cost was reasonable price. Having toilet facilities close to play area was a plus with young children. Lovely location with walks to the River Thames. Only criticism is that I feel that at the road access from the Main Street there should be a controlled zebra crossing to allow safe pedestrian access for adults with children

    Higginson park
We visit higginson Park quite often and it is really just an average park. The playground there is very new and there are always lots of young kids there on the playground at the weekend. In the winter, the park floods quite badly but it is quite big and you can go on long walks there.

The park is bordered by the Thames so it is a bit wet at present as the river has slightly broken its banks. There is a good children's playarea, plenty of places for dogs to run, a cafe and opportunities to feed the ducks and swans. Also the place to capture the perfect Marlow view of church, river and bridge.

this park is situated by the river and I agree that the surroundings and the scenery is all very nice, however people here have no regard whatsoever to social distancing during the pandemic.

there are people walking round everywhere and not making space one another.

My advice on visiting Higginson Park in Marlow is just to stay vigilant

Lovely park but be careful while eating in the park. I was scratched on the face while eating lunch in the park with my husband when a red kite zoomed down took my roll and scratching my face at the same time it was so scary, put me off of doing that again resulting having to have to tetanus jab. There should be warning sign up somewhere.

First visit to the area. Found a car park easily close to river. Walked down to the river, where there was the usual Ice Cream Van. Loads of benches to sit but not all are in the shade. There were hire boats ( rowing and motor) by the hour. Also available a short 40 minute trip on a tourist boat, which was a nice break from walking. There's also a large children's playground. There was a nice cafe with air conditioning and a small play area. Great for a snack and a drink (indoors only). Dog friendly. There was a Bar next door with outside standing. In all we had a lovely day.

Visited the park to take part in Higginson parkun which starts and finishes in the park.

The park itself is small but it's right by the River Thames, so a walk can be extended by an out and back excursion along the riverbank (this is the parkrun course).

Parking nearby but its pay and display. There are some public toilets nearby.

Really good park with many facilities including a cafe, a big play park, and good walks and chill out areas. Very popular with locals. Tip: dont feed the kites their actually quite huge and powerful!

Had an enjoyable walk in a calming environment. One can opt to walk in large landscaped gardens or simply take the long river path and enjoy the river by your side. Stop any time and return to Marlow's high street for a cuppa, a coffee or a quick lunch in any of the fantastic cafes or restaurants.
