Lovely place to visit for a rainy day. The Maison Ratz is absolutely fantastic as a home place for an art museum. The exhibition is small but very precious. Parking opportunities in vicinity however rather small.

First of all, it is simply a very pleasant place to be in, regardless of what's in it. Then, you'll walk around freely and discover marvels you surely didn't know existed. A must.

There weren't many things and it was all german or french. I didn't understand a thing. So, I didn't feel anything about the art or history here. Maybe that is the reason I rate it low. But they don't have so many things to show...More

Fribourg's Art and History Museum occupies two interesting historic buildings that are linked by an underground passage. The entrance is adjacent to the 4-floor Hôtel Ratzé, which houses mainly sculptures and paintings by local 12th - 16th century artists, as well as two stained glass...More

I love visiting museums, so this was top of my list. There is lots of love here, but also room for improvement. As nearly all TA reviewers have said, the collect and the way it's curated is amazing. Not only the collection, but the two...More
