It is my nth time to see the old Rådhus. This Aug, we saw more historical information outside the building. Worth a read!

In the center of old town on the Main Street , quaint little piece of history. Storybook like and a lovely photo opportunity.

The current Town Hall was opened in 1744, with a tower which had been moved from its predecessor. There are two rooms: one was initially a police guardroom with two cells; the other was the council hall. Most furnishings were acquired by Mayor Eric Kihlman in the 1740s. It was used until 1947. Today it is beautifully maintained. There are guides to answer queries and also numerous boards giving information and history. Very interesting indeed!

Its quite small, but cute. Its right off the main old street so easy to access.
We just looked from the exterior as we were there outside the opening hours.

An interesting stop but nothing much to spend time on. The square in front of it was where blacksmiths used to ply their trade.

It is worth popping into the old town hall, one of the smallest in Sweden. The right side room literally smells old but in a pleasant way. My guide said marriage ceremonies are still conducted in the room. It is laid out with an 18th c look.

A charismatic 18th Century building with an even older clock tower. Unfortunately opening hours are limited but you can see in through the windows!

Komme ich mit einer Zeitkarte für den Stockholmer Nahverkehr, also z.B. für eine Woche, nach Sigtuna, bzw. was für ein Zusatzticket muss ich kaufen?
Written May 2, 2017
Achso, und die Wochenkarte reicht damit dann natürlich auch bis nach Sigtuna.
