Dear Dan, This is Simon writing. Firstly I'd like to thank you for taking your time to write a review, albeit negative. I take your criticism very seriously as we always aim to give maximum customer service and pleasure. However, we seem to have failed with you and for that I can only say I'm deeply sorry. I cannot answer for our drivers behaviour other than that I find it very surprising and I myself would like to know more regarding this. You also mention us speaking about you in Spanish. I find this quite mystifying, firstly because we simply wouldn't show this lack of respect and secondly because our team consists of non Spanish speaking pilots, myself being British. We have two that speak Spanish but they are not present this summer. None of us others are competent enough in Spanish to hold even a simple conversation. English is our only common language. We always try our best to interact with our guests both out of pure interest and to bond in order to lessen nerves which do increase as we drive up the mountain. Joking and Laughing with our guests is a wonderful part of our job. But laughing at our guests just feels very alien to me. Regarding the filming of the flight. Yes, we do record every flight we make for two very good reasons. The first being for safety reasons,if an accident/incident were to occur it means that we would have everything documented for analysis. The second reason being that many clients initially say they don't want the film but change their minds upon landing. They are then very upset when informed that the flight was not filmed. We put a lot of effort into the filming and photographing of the flight. Doing our very best to capture the amazing views, moments, angles and emotions. Purchase is always optional and we gladly show the material before purchase allowing our guests to make their own decision in their own time. We very often send a pic or two for free (in this case via what's app) to out guests that choose not to purchase the full material purely so they can have a memory with them to share with friends and family. We do not send by what's app. The 30€ is for a download to a smartphone via special card readers that we use. Most guests find this the best solution because they can immediately enjoy watching the material on their phone and share their experience with friends via social media. The material is very high resolution, about 4-5GB. Simply impossible to send via what's app. The second option if a guest doesn't have a smartphone or has insufficient memory space on his/her phone is to purchase the actual memory card from the camera. We here charge an additional cost of 10€ to cover the cost of the 8GB memory card. I can only apologise once again for not leaving you with the positive experience that we strive after. Hi Steven, Simon here, The boss, as you for some reason like call me. I’m very sad to read your reflections of your experience with us. Both myself and the whole team take pride in the fact that we click so well with our clients and have a fantastic time both before after and during the flight. I hand pick my pilots after both flying and social skills and we have a strong policy/culture of really trying our best to give the best existir be ever. So once again I’m both saddened and sorry you didn’t feel this. The flights is usually about 29 minutes depending on weather conditions. The last week has been what’s called in meteorological terms a stable week with lack of thermals (bubbles of warm air that we can rise in and sustain flight) but even then the flights are never under 10 minutes abs that’s a worst case scenario. Regarding the camera, in these modern times almost every cliebt is very keen on greying great footage/photos of their experience to spread on social media. Yes. We ask you to hold the camera during take off abs landing abs other parts of the flights. We are after all pilots abs need to control the glider for both safety (of course) and performance reasons. But we do at suitable moments take the cajeta snd get the fantastic footage that we know how to get and yes of course we ask our pilots to smile and put thumbs up etc. Who would want pics of themselves looking nervous or not even looking at the camera. The photos are an extra service that costs and we want to give the best material we can. Our policy is to record all flight because many clients that state in the beginning get they are not interested in the Film or photos change their minds after landing. It’s rather disappointing then if we haven’t recorded. Also we want everything document in the event of any incident. This is good for both our clients and us (not that it’s ever been needed). Apologies once again, we strive after 100% customer satisfaction but obviously failed this time. I hope you at least enjoyed the bird like feeling of free flight.
