Small beach. When it ebbs you can get to the beach, at high tide the sea starts at the stairs down already.Note, you can park close by (but only paid). Don't drive all the way down the street, because it's a dead end and it's hard to turn around. A little in front of the chapel / church you can also park on the side of the road, there are often more cars. It's a short walk then

We went to visit this beach following the good review in mid August but was a total disappointment. The beach is really small no more than 50/80m in length. Part of it is pebble just after the shoreline into the water. Just few people fill up the beach on top there was a group of heavily drunk beachgoer making awful comments. Snorkeling is also not great and dangerous because the small cove is literally packed of boat big and small. The only good note the bar/restaurant.
Perhaps we picked the wrong day but never again.

El Puertito is one of the few remaining authentic fishing villages in the tourist area of South Tenerife. The village consists of no more than around 20 houses and is situated directly on a romantic bay with small caves and fishing boats.

Only few houses are for rent, we stayed at La Casa del Capitán directly on the small beach.

Despite Tenerife's flourishing tourism, El Puertito has been largely overlooked by tourists. It has remained largely untouched and still maintains its traditional Canarian fishing village vibe.

The beach of El Puertito de Adejeis located in one of the most beautiful bays on the south coast and is perfect for snorkeling, attracting many diving clubs. The reason is the crystal-clear water with a stunning underwater view. Until recently, it was also known for the presence of a few sea turtles, but they have now disappeared.

Perhaps we were just lucky, or this beach is just at its best in October. It's part of a charming fishing village, a short walk from Bahia Principe Sunlight Hotel and provides an excellent contrast back to nature.
The sea water was sparkling and the small bay felt safe for swimming as long as it's not as the tide changes.
We saw a few boats anchored and no place seems complete without the one off noisy boat and a couple of jet boards. To be fair the noise was short-lived.
The beach has grey sand and there are some rocky patches. I wore my beach shoes to protect my toes.
There is a gorgeous café.... we loved it so much that a morning coffee turned into a carafe of sangria and then special meal of the day followed by more coffee!
The beach was fairly narrow and when the tide came in it reached up to the sea wall. Probably best not to venture in the sea at that point, but a great excuse for another sangria or coffee!
Yes, there is an improvised camp at the top, not in sight from the beach. It's rather endearing and it looked like there were signs asking for no more large developments on the disused banana plantation. It seemed anyone could rock up and stay, and it all looked well ordered. Each to their own.
In el Puertito it's possible to walk along the coast path, through a narrow path between beautiful houses which are built into the cliff place - truly magical.

This could be a delightful hideaway. Unfortunately, there is a large community of hippies/travelling people who have taken over most of the space in spite of many notices stating that camping and overnight stays are prohibited. The area is litter ridden and extremely untidy. Dog mess is also a problem. This is a wasted space which could be so much more attractive.

The bay is filled with boats parking so forget about the turtles here. The beach itself is nice but due to boats there is not much room for swimming. There are some nice snorkelling spots on the left side by the cliffs but you need to watch out for boats..

We wnt there for snorkeling, because supposely you can find turtles there. We did not find any, but it's ok. We spent a nice 1/2 day at the beach and rocks looking for black crabs. Had a nice lonch at the local caf with fishcakes, croquettes and beer.

We were there in December, we went by car. There was no parking. There was also a cafe, WC and shower.
The water is clear, we swam in the morning, we wanted to see turtles.
They are not there, the review is from 2015, but they were there before.
The water is clean, but jellyfish are swimming, I was stung 3 times around 10.00 in the morning.
Nearby, about 500 meters away, there are ghetto houses made of pallets, and you feel like you’re living without a blast furnace. The feeling is so-so. It’s not recommended to vacation with children!

We had heard that this place was nice so drove down to spend an afternoon there, we stayed about 6 minutes! You park on a stone path overlooked on both sides by rundown caravans and motorhomes surrounded by piles of rubbish. We left nothing in the car! We walked down a path past a derelict building to what was supposed to be a lovely untouched cove. It was just a derelict mess with graffiti, bad building repairs and very little , if anything, that was appealing or nice. We sat at a dirty table in a filthy cafe for a minute before deciding to leave. If this place wasn’t on the beach it would be described as a squalid shanty town, but for some reason because it’s on the coast it gets good reviews and “shows what life used to be like in teneriffe”.
