About
Big Fish Tenerife Dive Center (before Cressi Dive Center) is a PADI center, located in an enviable area of Los Cristianos, specifically on Las Vistas beach, very near to the port. So, we can give the best comfort to our certified divers just 200 meters from the sea and it is the best place on the whole island to get started in the world of diving and carry out your courses. Our newly renovated downtown diving center offers the best performance for our divers and beginners.

After trying many Dive Centers in Tenerife we found Big Fish, and it was the best for us. They were very kind and easy going to adapt everything we needed. Marcos, Martin and Raul were all Very nice and explained everything about the dives, and made my friend feel a lot safer and more confident. During the dives Martin was fully in charge and paying attention to all details and taught us little tips during surface intervals to make us better divers. I would absolutely recommend this dive center for anyone looking to dive in Tenerife

Big Fish has a great location by the beach and 5min walk from the Los Cristianos harbour.
This means there's no long drives in a hot car to make a dive.
The dive center inndivided in 2 spaces: office/shop/classroom which creats a good, quiet space for learning and a wet zone where divers are preping for the dives. Both spaces have bathrooms. Also there's shower to use aftet diving.
The wet zone is spacious and has extra space for customer's private equipment. Big tub filled with ozoned water makes rinsing gear easy and accessible.
The staff speaks many languages and they provide hotel transfers included in the price.
At first the price may seam high but when you take under consideration: full gear (mares and scubapro), transfers, proximity to the boat and beach dives, clean toilets and a shower, chill sofa area, water, tea, coffee and biscuits... all these things make it worth it and gives 5* experience.
Where if not in Canaries is the best place to learn diving. Instructors run PADI courses in english, spanish, catalan, polish. There's also staff speaking italian and german.
Strongly recommend for certified dives, for first time experience and for PADI courses on levels from OWD to Instructor.

Took a try-dive in March. Instructor was not interested in me before the dive, not after the dive and certainly not interested during the dive. He offered me no solution for a fogged up diving mask so I didn't see almost anything while being underwater.
Worn out equipment and uninterested instructors made my first diving experience a complete dissapointment. For being one the most expensive diving-companies on the island they don't deliver the expected quality.
Also paid 10 euro extra for some GoPro-pictures and video. Still haven't received them even after 2 reminders from my side. They replied on my first mail but after the first gentle reminder they keep silent. For me the worst 80 euro I have ever spend, for them the easiest 10 euro they have ever earned

the diving part was fun, but that was due to the location, not the company. I'm a newbie diver (less than 40 dives, though certified for AOW), but out of the 5 diving companies I've encountered so far, Big Fish is by a long way the worst.
The instructor never checked any of our gear, we were made to lug it ourselves from the dive center to the boat and back, while the instructor was helpfully encouraging us by saying that we're too slow; Any questions - like how to work the dive computer that they provided and we'd never used before, were answered with an ironic "you should know already".
My vest was actually held with zip-ties on one side, making it impossible to adjust.
However many times I'll go diving in Tenerife, I will never book a dive with Big Fish again.

Vlad, we value every opinion to improve our services.
Part of our services is to help our certified divers to transport their gear from the dive center to the harbor. As a certified diver each person is responsible for its own gear and it´s preparation. When it´s ready, we transport it to the harbor in a van so our divers essentially walk to the harbor only with their fins and personal belongings. The part the diver needs to carry their own gear is between the van and a boat (20m).
Part of the course you were doing with us is to explain, show and compare how different diving computers work underwater, which we did on a second dive with your dive buddy. A certified diver should know how the diving computer works because it´s part of OWD and AOWD courses with PADI.
Due to unpopular size of needed gear, one day we did not have enough adjustable BCDs.
We understand the disappointment, however, we also have a comparison to your dive buddy who had completed the course with us and not only didn’t mind carrying his own gear for 20m but also had fun with the rest of the divers group.
We wish you humility and prudence in your future dives.

I booked the advanced open water certificate. With this 5 dives should be performed, which must include navigation and deep diving. From start to finish everything was a mess, the days changed, the dives changed (I didn't want to do a night dive and was basically talked into it). In one instance the instructor (Luca) shouted at me while on the surface of the water before descending, leaving me near tears for the first part of the dive.
The instructor was stressed due to a broken motorboat, but we were too many divers (6 or 7 for 1 instructor). Whatever happens, I do not expect to be shouted at for someone providing a service that i'm paying good money for.
I had my previous dives counted with SSI, this school did nothing to certify my dives, provide access to PADI online resources or count them in the PADI app.
All other instructors were very nice, but I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone, while Tenerife is a bautiful place to go diving.

We tried diving for the first time.
We felt so comfortable with the people in there, the staff is very patient and professional.
Highly recommend for anyone who like adventures and do something totally different…

Excellent dive centre - great facility, close to beach and high quality equipment. We picked Big fish for our 2 boys - aged 17 & 14. They are both qualified open water divers but still building up confidence and skills and obviously safety is our first concern, particularly when diving without us. Big Fish offered an extremely competent service which was very reassuring to us. We will definitely be back to dive with Big Fish together as a family. Thank you!

Open water diver course: super chilled super Stefano has been an excellent instructor for us over the course of 3 days! Very encouraging, funny, very friendly guy with a patience of a saint! We had the best time learning to dive with the buys from the Big Fish centre, thoroughly recommend 👌! All staff and Marcos were very welcoming and happy to help. Great to see such a variety of sea life this time of year amazing experience 💙 thank you Stefano

I would like to recommend the Big Fish diving club in Tenerife. Very professional crew and the best gear. I recently went diving with them two times. One of them with Alberto about 20 meters at a wreck. The second time I went with Luca about 24 metres. It was complete peace and control underwater, very admirable. If you’re in Tenerife and I have more time than just lying on the beach or swimming in the pool I really recommend scuba-diving, especially with such a professional crew. I would also like to add that I have some experience with diving and it’s rare that you find someone with so much passion like here. Best wishes, Jacek

Same as above, allow 3 hours for preparation and kitting up. The dive site is about 80 metres from the centre. The instructor will assist with your gear if necessary.
Give it a go, well worth it and plenty to see.
