My name its Alfonso and i'm kitesurf instructor from 17 years ago , i have all the internationals and Nationals certifications to teach and ,If you book with me, you will have private and couples classes totally personalized and adapted to your level, You must do it in advance since I have limited places and I cannot attend more people than I can, since the treatment of the class is very personal and close All classes have liability insurance, and the equipment provided by the school in addition to being covered by Official Schools of Tarifa and with the best offers

We can't thank and praise the team @Born to Kite enough. Their professionalism and safety awareness underlies everything whilst their teaching style is relaxed, incredibly informative & super fun. They also use the latest & best equipment. My husband & I took semi-private classes with Alfonso whilst our kids (aged 11 & 9) were with Miguel and it couldn't have been better for all of us. Their passion to teach, their patience, their dedication, and the 200% energy they put into the classes...... we are incredibly grateful for all. Both Alfonso & Miguel are totally hands-on in the water (unlike most of the other instructors who just stand on the sand shouting instructions), and at the same time they stress on learning to be intuitive with the kite for greater independence. We feel deeply indebted to Alfonso for all he taught us with plenty of expert tips that really work, and for giving us the confidence to go and ride anywhere. And Miguel gave our kids an experience they will never forget and a new sport they are totally in love with, whilst we were in awe to see them both almost up and riding after just a few days!
Miguel, Alfonso - you are fantastic! Thanks to you Agua Chiringuito has a special place in our hearts. We wish you the best of luck - you deserve whatever you dream for your business - and we'll say "Hasta pronto.....!"

Anthony ,Celia , and sons , was a pleasure to have this time with you , and more see you ridding , with an smail, even the beach bar time!!!! With gazpacho .....and Beers !!! Just back from a few days away in Tarifa and Kiting with Miguel. Miguel was one of the best instructors in any sport I have had. He was clear with what he was teaching and explaining what needed to be done. His years of experience on the water really do show and between Miguel and Alfonso their experience pays off. Could not recommend this Kitesurfing School any more. If you are planning on going 100% Born to Kite is the school for you at any level. Made my trip and will definitely be returning!!

Alfonso was a really great teacher. I had one lesson a year before and he picket it right up from there. He tested my level and knew directly where to go from there. I had 3 lessons on 2 hours spread out over 3 days and after that I was able to kite surf myself in Dakhla. Alfonso paid a lot of attention on how I was doing and didn't stand somewhere on the beach giving instruction. He really was involved and tried to learn my kite surfing in the fastest way. I felt very secure and helped!

After a pretty disastrous experience with another kite school in Tarifa last week I decided to book one final lesson elsewhere for my last day in town to salvage my trip and try to ensure I went home having got something out of it. I completely lucked out with Alfonso! In 2 hours on a private lesson with Alfonso I learnt more and progressed further than I had in 2 full days with another school earlier in the week. The first thing that was said to me is that if I wasn't getting the hang of it and successfully controlling the kite, that was his fault for not explaining it to me well enough, not mine for not understanding. Precisely the attitude an instructor should have and immediately gave me confidence that I had made the right choice in getting back out there for my last day! Having been burnt with my previous lessons I had very low expectations of how far I would get in 2 hours, it didn't seem realistic to think I would be doing anything but going over what I had spent the previous 2 days doing, but within minutes I had the kite up without worrying about always having my hands on the bar and by the end of the 2 hours we were getting the board on my feet in the water. Alfonso was always right next to me making sure I understood what I should be doing and helping me before I got myself into trouble. We didn't progress onto the next exercise until I was comfortable and ready and all my instructions were clear and straightforward, accompanied by just the right amount of theory and science so that I understood WHY things were going wrong when they did and how taking a particular corrective action affects the kite and resolves the problem.
Those 2 hours with Alfonso ensured I left Tarifa with a smile, having made real progress and turned a disappointing trip into a hugely successful one and we all wish we'd discovered Born to Kite earlier in our holiday. 2 friends who had also been on lessons with other kite schools earlier in the week were on the beach watching and listening in to my lesson and both are just as keen as I am to book their lessons with Alfonso on our return next year. I really cannot say enough positive things, if you are looking for lessons where you build confidence and capability in leaps and bounds rather than fits and starts then Alfonso is the man for the job!

If you want to learn to kite, Born to Kite Tarifa is highly recommended. Alfonso and Arancha are incredibly talented. They map your skills, and build further on it. I was a novice, so in the start I got close monitoring, also in the water, which not all instructors does. They are good at explaining and teach you step by step new exercises. They make you feel safe and they are with you all the way. My boyfriend who had more experience needed only instructions and explanations , but they always had an overview of his position and helped him if any problems. It's obvious that they love what they do. They want you to get a good experience, and are concerned that conditions should be optimal. Not only are they good teachers, they are also fun and welcoming. The equipment is top quality and the prices are good. I guarantee a super experience with a lot of excitement and fun!

I had the pleasure of learning from Alfonso and Bernie for a few days and it could not have been better.
Loved the very friendly and "local" atmosphere from the moment they picked me up in the village. I already learned kiting last year but needed a bit of refreshing and they did an awesome job at picking me up where I was and helping me to improve with lots of small (and some major) tipps and improvement to my kiting experience.
Will definitely come back and rent and learn from them in the future.

My wife and me visited Tarifa for the first time in February and started kite classes with Miguel and Alfonso.
They guided us throw this wonderful sport. They have been very professional, patient and easygoing and thanks to them we both improved a lot!!
I will definitely recommend this school!!

We were really happy to have Alfonso as a kitesurfing instructor. He is very professional. Although we had lots of rainy and very windy days during our week, Alfonso tried hard to use every sunny minute to stay with us and keep teaching us. He is surely the best kitesurfing teacher, very caring and attentive. Thanks a lot!!!

Alfonso and Miguel of Born to Kite can be strongly recommended if you are wanting to learn to kite.
With passion and skills they thought quickly the basics and advanced us rapidly to a level where we can develop ourselves further.
We hope to return and learn more from them soon.
