We we're harassed by the boat workers who said that with 'special favors' we could get special seats. They basicly sexually harassed us and it was terrible, we felt we could'nt do anything because we we're 2 girls leaving Morocco and they took advantage of that. Do not travel with them!

Day trip to Tanger (basic with tour guide) We booked this last minute as family visited us from UK and we had not made definite plans. After visiting Tarifa we decided to come back next day and do Tanger. We booked basic trip as needed to be back early next day. It stayed 35 minutes but in fact it was over an hour to get there! However on arrival tour guide told us to wait until she organised groups. We then met with our guide for the trip who was very friendly and lots of fun! He took us in a car (personal to for the 4 of us) we drove around Tanger as he pointed out places of interest. We stopped at the camels for photo stop and some haggling! Then we visited the old town, churches, mosque, markets - all of which was great. The obligatory carpet/rug shop & the spice/medicine (pharmacy) stops where ok but felt a bit intimidated having to listen & haggle for things we didn’t want or need. We did end up leaving with some spices and various bottles claiming to be good for hair, skin, pain etc - you name it they have a bottle or tub of something for it! It added to a great experience and we had fun! I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing tour without a guide though. We stopped at a lovely restaurant for food (included in price) which was great - a little rushed but ok. Drinks where a little expensive and we didn’t get time to finish them but the ambiance of the place, the live music and they great staff made it enjoyable. The food was nice enough - a good example of typical Moroccan dishes. It was a great day out and we all enjoyed it’ very good value for the price.

A quick 40 minute trip to Tangiers from Tarifa, professional staff, quick customs, and roomy boat, they take care of your entry into Morroco on the ride there from Tarifa , so once you get to Tangier, the entry is smooth.

Amazing tour and tour guide! So worth it! We paid $230 CAD for one adult one child - included return ferry to Tangier, super easy and luxury coach bus waiting right at the port exit. Our guide was so funny and helpful! We saw the sultans palace the Souk the Medina the cultural museum, Tetouan, the cave of Hercules, and deep inside Tangier. It was absolutely amazing and the include traditional lunch was sooo good. Great value for a FULL day of exploring all over Morocco !

I've dreamt of Morocco and it's spice markets (souks) for many years. Finally made it to Spain so really wanted to add this to our trip. Booking through FRS did ease the way and I wouldn't want to take an unguided trip as we found it overwhelming. The group was big which really altered our experience. The food was bland at the restaurant we went to and we didn't get another chance for food. I was so looking forward to a authentic tagine and Harrisa. But I make far better. The spice "market" was a sad joke. Took to a room with a man passing a few prepackaged spices etc. The mint tea I bought doesn't even taste like mint. Not sure what it is. I talked to others on the same ferry and they had a great time with a small guided group of four. They loved the tagine and harrisa and weren't hassled by street vendors like we were. I still feel like I need go back so I can taste and see a more authentic Morocco.
