Visit with teenage son.

Beutiful place, old ruins. If you are nearby then visit it! But, if not, I wouldn't suggest you to make it your destination. After visit we went for a cold beer in nearby restaurant on a beach.

This was local to where we were staying in Tarifa. Short drive through the hills to drop back down to the coast. Parking a bit of an issue but you can leave your car on the road and walk up. We decided against a guided tour and just did our own thing. Take plenty of water as it's the only... More

It is a very well kept Roman villa, that is before you once you found a parking. Incredible the level of craftsmanship, and the fact that it is still standing close to two millenniums later, although the locals build most of the houses in the area, with materials from this place, before somebody decided it was worth saving !! Definitely... More

Baelo Claudia is always a great place to visit, with its calm visitor centre and extensive Roman remains, though it can be uncomfortable on a hot day, as there is little shelter. We were there to see a play by Aristophanes in the ampitheatre. The experience could not have been better. A full moon illuminated the old stones, the lights... More

The ruins were interesting but nothing compared to what you might see in Italy or other places on the Adriatic. Not crowded so long as you keep your distance from school groups touring the site. After visiting the ruins we went to the beach but didn't stay long because the wind was more than we could handle.

One of the best places for "Blue" beaches of Europe. In addition to the breathtakingly gorgeous sandy beach, and clear blue /green Atlantic ocean, is this wonder of Roman Anitiquity (C. 2OOO years ago) Here you may sea the ancient Roman Market place, Temple of Isis, and of course the Statue and Columns of the Roman Emperor Claudius.

Funny setting and interesting level of details. Unexpectedly return to high school, reliving my Latin classes.

Spend an hour or 2 looking at the ruins in southern spain. its not mentioned a lot but it has so many cool things to see and learn. This is perfect for the family or just tourist in general. The museum is clean, has AC and is interesting.

Visited as a child when it was just some dug up bricks ...then they got funding and my word have they done well. We still regularly go because you see something different each time. Beautiful beautiful place.
