So. I might be biased as we’ve been visiting Nerja and the Harp for a few years now but you won’t get a more authentic Irish bar in Nerja. The owners Ger and Dom are fantastic hosts, and always have a story or two to tell. Ann behind the bar is so nice, and always proficient and professional. If you have any time, pop in to say hello as they always have time for their customers. We’ve met many in there that have become friends and I’m sure we’ll meet many more in the years to come,

Great wee Irish Bar to visit when in Nerja and the craics great with Dom and Ger and Anne. Never short of throwing some good banter at you and will certainly give as good as they get. Music twice a week at the moment so drop by and enjoy a great pint of Guinness. We decided to go and see what the place was like 8 years ago and it’s our Spanish “local” now.

I went with my brother to see a rugby match, We rang ahead to confirm they were showing it. Unfortunately when we arrived we found a very small bar trying to show a soccer match and a rugby match at the same time. Unusually, there was no outside seating where patrons not interested in sports could have been seated to allow those interested in watching sports some more room inside.

Called in one night with friends and the bar is certainly inviting. Unfortunately the prices are not! Charged €4 for a bottle of beer and €5.50 for a bottle of Magners. By far the most expensive bar I’ve been to in Nerja and Frigiliana in over three years.

Recently worked remotely from Nerja for a couple of weeks and visited this place all the time. Ann always had a warm welcome for us and provided a 5 star service. Always a nice crowd and live music on the weekends. Great place to watch sport also.

An irish bar with irish prices to match.
Wouldn't recommend unless you're use to paying over the odds for a drink.

Just home from my first holiday in Nerja.I'm not one for frequenting Irish Bar's abroad for obvious reasons but The Irish Harp Bar came highly recommended. It's located in a really nice area and you'd almost pass it by!I was expecting a noisy tourist bar, it's anything but and genuinely authentic. The customers were almost all Irish couples and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.Customers were watching football on TV, having the craic and there was a great friendly atmosphere. The draught Guinness on tap was excellent.I met the owner's Dom & Ger,really lovely Dublin couple who have the personal touch.Behind the bar,Ann was very busy but found time to welcome and chat to customers. She seemed to know everyone and they her.Ann is friendly, mannerly, efficient and helpful. On a busy friday night,I saw Ann helping out a retired couple who were worried about cancelled flights home.I visited the bar on 6 nights of my 10 day holiday. The majority of people in the bar appeared to be repeat customers. The premises was spotless and the toilets clean and fresh.I was very impressed and I'm really looking forward to returning on my next trip.

Keep up the excellent standards!!!

We have visited this bar from the day it first opened several years before the current owners took over and found it to be extremely busy with very friendly owners and staff. Sadly under the current ownership it is quite quiet, unfriendly and serving overpriced and undrinkable wine. This is an insult to a country that produces many fine wines. I can only put this down to the greed of the current owners. Spanish bars in Nerja can serve extremely better wines with a free tapa for less money.

The pub itself is cosy and looks appealing, however we found the lady (middle aged/shortish hair) behind the bar to be very unfriendly to the point of rude. It made my husband and I feel quite uncomfortable so we only stayed for one. Disappointing.
