Park at the car park at the top and walk down passing the pairs of shoes attached to the wires overhead. You will walk thru a stony canyon for about a mile before you reach the water. The river is hardly a stream to begin...More

For sportifs and nature lovers, a nice walk for a day in Rio Chilar to explore the nature and to arrive to the waterfall. Of course you need good shoes for this exploring tour, it will be good to inform you in the tourist office.

NOTE: If there's a danger of heavy rain or flash floods, NO NOT attempt this walk. Wear good footwear with thick soles, light weight trainers would be ideal, also a pair of socks to avoid blisters! . The 1st part of the walk is very...More

If young and fit this walk will be so much easier than it was for me however it was truly a fabulous day out. Do go prepared with good shoes, mine were too thin and I felt every stone/rock and came back with bruised feet....More

WOW!! What a hidden path and a hidden treasure! Be prepared to HIKE and bring plenty of water and snacks!! We hiked for 2 hours at a steady, good pace without breaks. We started the path in a dry riverbed, that gradually had more water...More

We found only shallow swimming holes and we found one small fall, not suitable for swimming. We didn't walk as far as we could so might be something further on ( we managed about 3 miles) but obviously at this time of year... More

Head to Calle Mirto and turn onto that road, drive down there a short distance and you'll see a huge motorway bridge in front of you. There's parking there underneath the electricity pylons with the trainers hanging down... More
