This place is really one of the most worth visiting place in Nerja and here is some tips that might be useful for the trip. 1. Actually, this facinate place is quite close to Nerja and it is possible to walk there. I have walked back to Nerja city center after my visit. 2. Even though it is easy to... More

So after reading many reviews we were a bit concerned about taking our 5 year old as thought it may be too much. However it wasn't it was perfectly manageable it did take us 3hrs to walk up to the fresh water pool and waterfall and 3hrs back down. Every step was worth it a fantastic day out and the... More

Really worthwhile if you like walking & a bit of adventure. As everybody says: Take enough food & drinks along. If you want to reach the larger waterfall with pool, you'll be walking about 2 hours over stones, through water (sometimes even knee deep or higher) climbing over small and larger rocks....and than ofcourse a 2 hour trip back. Very... More

Can't rate this enough. My husband and I took our 8 year old twins as a spur of the moment trip as the weather had turned cloudy. Definitely go on a week day as it was Saturday afternoon when we arrived at the beginning of the walk and there was lots of people around. It's worth getting a taxi or... More

Up at 8am to take in the beautiful scenery of the Rio Chillar in Costa Del Sol and I've never been more awestruck. It'll take you a good 5-6 hours as a round trip, less if you can avoid taking an unimaginable amount of photos! The walk takes you through steep rock faces, amazing pools and mountainous surroundings to offer... More

After staring off failry shallow, the river quickened and deepened the further we traveled. We encountered interesting falls and canyon cliffs along the journey. It was a very fun and memorable trip. Strap or closed toed sandals are perfect footwear: Tevas or Keens.

We had problems finding the accurate place, but all locals knows directions - so ask them. We started the hiking at 9.00 and it was quite crowded at the end. I would go again but even earlier next time. Somehow this great experience of nature does not go well with too many people.

Have 5 or 6 hours to do the hike up to the waterfall (at least) and back and make sure you wear trainers you do not care much for because they will get wrecked! It's a stone bed river.
