Nice water, fun

The crystal clear water and the dynamics of the boulders makes for a nice stay. It's not as crowded as one would expect from such a central playa

This pocket of beach is the best. Clear water and boulders/rock pools to explore. Balcon de Europa and Nerja Old Town nearby.

A good beach to visit for a quick swim during the day. Close to several eating places if you want food and refreshing beverages. Even better in the evening when most of the people have left for dinner.

Grab a pizza from Little Italy and a bottle of wine and go sit on the beach when everyone else has left! This is a quite, beautiful place without the tourists!

I found the beach quiet and conducive to reading and relaxing, apparently there have been some issues there recently. Papagayo's restaurant is an eyesore but I didn't let it bother me.

Beautiful beach, such a shame that the bar/restaurant is now derelict and when we were there the little pathway linking up to other beaches was closed off too :-(

you can find lots of quiet areas here - wonderful for swimming! not many sunbeds available - comfortable to lie on the beach!

We had a half day visit too Nerha and can highly recommend a visit to the beach, shops, but most of all the ice cream stall on the square which serves the most flavoursome and massive ice creams (no exaggeration).I had a months worth of ice cream in one cone.A must visit.

A real shame this and to my knowledge for some time now. The Papagayo restaurant that used to serve this beach has long shut down and looks like it has been broken into and being inhabited by drunken unwashed types. They spend all day sitting around the streets of Nerja begging with their dogs and then drink down on the... More

This beach is at the side of the Balcon so in full view of thousands of tourists every day. However as the local council are not letting out the cafe on the beach it has been taken over by beggars and there dogs. The building is falling apart and there is rubbish and dog mess all around it. I am... More
