In a national park, for nature lovers, you must have good footingshoes, you can make a part of your car and than decide which nice walk you want to choice, or to make a nice pic-nic in the mountains, near the barranco of Nerja.

The first 5km is a bit of a trek through the national park, a gentle uphill walk but after the recreation ground it gets more interesting as you wind round to el Fuente. Watch out for the bees though.

The "path" has been designed for motor traffic, but parking has to be chosen carefully. The surface varies during the year, so careful driving at 10mph is best - especialy if you have a hired car! It is good on windy days when the area...More

We followed the track from the caves car park to the picnic site - about three miles. The best part was the walk back along the other side of the valley down the "barranco de coladilla" with stunning scenery and some scary/exciting moments.
