It’s a perfectly nicely constructed bridge across the river , and linking one side of the beach promenade with the other. Nice view out over the sea and sand, and other looks up the river towards the town. Was a hub of activity when we were there with many cyclists, runners, joggers, and slow amblers like us. Saw more than one woman out pushing a buggy with a spoilt little dog onboard. What’s that about?

This bridge was near our hotel and we walked across it many times during our 10 day stay. We walked from the bridge to the other end of the promenade which was about 12 k. The castle is nearby an also some pleasant cafes. Always popular with walkers and runners.

Quite a dramatic looking bridge, particularly at night when it is lit by floodlights. It is a pedestrian only bridge, no motorized vehicles to worry about, but you do have to keep a wary eye open for cyclists and those on roller blades. On the paseo there is a cycle path section marked, but on the bridge there is nothing of that nature.
The bridge certainly gives this end of Fuengirola a more modern feel to it and makes an interesting contrast with Castle Souhail. The bridge is certainly a better way to link the paseo maritimo with the other side of the Rio Fuengirola. Besides providing access to Fuengirola’s Castle Souhail, it also gives access to the boating attractions beside the river and there is a small café that side, too, next to the limited car parking area. There is another pedestrian bridge over the river, but it is a little way upstream toward the Centro Comercial Miramar.
Thanks for reading this and if you've found it helpful I'd appreciate a ‘thumbs up’ below.

The bridge itself is lovely but I have to warn people about thieves that linger here. Two ladies approached me trying to sell rosemary and they distracted me and somehow managed to steal all my money out of my bag. Please be careful when being approached. Fuengirola is a beautiful area and it would not stop me returning.

A nice contemporary bridge on your way to the Sohail castillo, or the southern extension of the beach. On a clear day, you can see as far as Sierra Nevada. This is a point you will pass by when staying in Fuengirola, whether you plan to do it or not.

A good way to get across the river from the castle side to the main promenade. Quite impressive in design.

You come to this bridge as you stroll along the promenade towards the castle, nice enough engineering not much more to say.

Lovely bridge very decorative. Pedal boats and zip lines running alongside it, nice walkways on either side of the river which give great views of the bridge and castle. Walkways lead directly to the Miramar shipping centre

The bridge looks very nice at night, with the Castle in the background. A tip - take af G&T in the bar right next to the bridge.

This was the highlight of my visit. Not only is this an incredible feet of engineering and an amazing structure to look at it also is the quickest route back to my apartment after downing 10 pints of lager 👀
