Los Boliches is a quieter, more peaceful area of Fuengirola with lots of Spanish families. If you are looking for a quieter trip I would recommend staying at this end of the town. If you are not staying local, I would recommend a day at the beach at Carajval (life guards during the summer) followed by on of the excellent... More

Awful beach, extremely dirty water and a constant bed of gravel, seashells and small stones, which was around 7 or 8 inches deep and approx a yard in width at the waters edge making a difficult process of actually getting into the sea. The sea is extremely rough with huge waves a constant factor and, because it is vey shallow walking... More

Impressed by accessible beach section allowing people to enjoy the sea who wouldn't normally be able to. Very clean.

Found a few great tapas bars and lovely squares to sit and people watch. Train station is ideal to access airport and other towns.

Among our first reactions to this area was - we are coming back here. We choose Los Boliches because of the Ilunion hotel there, a chain we've had positive experiences of. But we'll go back because it has all we look for in a resort - an excellent beach, beach bars and plenty of other varied places to eat and... More

Fuengirola is quite a large resort but we found this part of the resort (Los Boliches) lovely and didn't really need to venture too far up the promenade to find everything we needed a short walk either way from our hotel (Hotel Angela on the beach front) which was superb accommodation for us. Just a short walk to the train... More

A gloriously long sandy beach with sunbeds and umbrellas for rent. Plenty of shops across the road from the beach to buy anything you may want.

Lifeguards on duty, sunbeds 4€. Toilets available. Looky looky men though... every 5 minutes. They give announcements if the current is strong and ask you to stay out the water. Nice and shallow water and lovely sand.
