Apparently this is the only church, globally, that has ever been built over a river- tho i am not sure how that can be proven ? In amy event it is well worth visiting if in area albeot church is now in ruins.

Short but interesting tour. Take it in the Tourist info booth at the Iglesia Santa Maria. The tour goes below the Square along the river.

Visit the church and take the guided tour for 2 € to see the cave, visitor centre and river flowing beneath, the only one in the world ! Excellent local guide included 5 *
