We took the tour and our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. He explained the history of the caves and used lighting to tell a story. It was awesome. The cave is beautiful and still alive which is so cool.

I've been to probably all of the most famous caves in the US and even gone spelunking (cave exploring) in a few lesser known caves with fellow adventure seekers, and I have to say that this as the most beautiful one. The ribbons and curtains...More

My family has visited numerous caverns and this is one of our top picks. The guides are great and make sure after the tour you go hike/ splash around in the actual springs.

We enjoyed this cavern tour very much. The cave "decorations" (stalactites, stalagmites, curtain formations and so much more!) are truly spectacular, well worth seeing. Not to knock Mammoth Cave national park, but the decorative features are better here at Blanchard Springs. We had a clever,...More

I’ve enjoyed going to Blanchard Springs Caverns and taking visitors of and newcomers to our area several times and I’ve never seen anyone disappointed. The tour is an easy, fairly level walk, with the very entertaining guides occasionally seating the visitors during the tour while...More

Ozark national forest and Buffalo River (1 Reply)
We are driving from Dallas to Ozark national forest on the 3rd week of August. We will stay at Rogers and visit Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art on the first day. We then will spend 3 days in the Ozark National Forest and Buffalo River area. What may be a good place to stay if we want to visit the pedestal rocks scenic drive, Buffalo River and the Blanchard Springs Caverns? Also, is there guided boat trip that we can take at Buffalo River? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Questions about 5 day trip to Arkansas in May (7 Replies)
Hello I have several questions. Me and my family (4 adults & 4 kids) plan on taking a trip to Arkansas for 5-6 days at the end of this month. I need help setting up an itinerary. One thing that is a must for this trip is visiting the Crater Diamond Park. We were also interested in visiting some other attractions/parks: Blanchard Springs Caverns, Cossatot (White water rafting), Devil's Den, Petit Jean (Waterfalls), Mount Magazine, Lake Degray, and Hot Springs. I know we won't have time to...More

I don't know the route from Houston to Chicago, but I know the Daimond Crater. It includes a nearby small water park and a nice visitor's center. However, the crater is just that - a huge area of mud in wet weather or hard dirt mounds in dry weather and it is HOT this time of year with no shade. I would not recommend making this a priority stop. A fun spring or fall day trip if you live around there and have bored children, but nothing special.
