This is a nice beach but can be very windy and large waves. There are a lot of Spanish locals so it feels more authentic than beaches on the Costa Del Sol. There are seasonal restaurants for seafood and tapas

This is an incredibly clean beach with lots of sand and calm waters. We had no issue finding a quiet space on the beach and there are lots of Helados Artesanales too! (Could not find any toilets apart from in the eating places).

When I was last there in 1961 there was just one rather exclusive hotel.......now it's hidden behind a massive housing estate. Seems a very safe beach good for families with shallow water going out quite a long way. Stones at the water's edge at some places but you only need to go a few yards to avoid them. Good facilities... More

This beach is about 6 km from Algeciras and has beautiful clean sand. View is beautiful as bay looks across at Gibraltar and although a lot of ships pass, they are quite far away and are no problem at all. Very long and plenty room and is not crowded. Car park is quite big but not big enough as beach... More

Beautiful clean beach with views of Gibraltar. Cafes and shops. Gentle slope into the sea so generally safe for swimming. Popular with locals.

From the lighthouse or overlooks in Getares you can see Gibraltar, Africa and the Straits. Really stunning and something we will always remember.

A pleasant place for a stroll. Not crowded in November - no idea what it is like in the summer. Lots of sea shells to gather if you like doing that sort of thing.

The beach is nice, no more than that. The few restaurants are just about fine. It is o.k. for a walk around or a short day at the beach which is also average. Worth visiting once.

The beach is mainly local and offers great sea food at very good prices (much cheaper than Tarifa) it is also a great place to Stand up and Paddle, windsurfing lessons and kayaking as the Natural Park is just next to it. Prices are also much lower that in other areas around, there is a bus station right next to... More
