The ride was very smooth - even some people that were scared of heights said the ride was fine. The views of the fjord from the top of the mountain were awesome.

Arrived by ship and booked this trip at the quayside approx£70 each. Coach provided to the skylift. Once at the top you have stunning views of the fyords and the glaciers. Pick a clear day if possible and you will not be dissapointed.

This was one of our stop offs on a cruise we went on recently. Norway is generally expensive but this was one that was well worth the money. Once in a lifetime experience.

In early April, spring is in the air in the valley but a short ride on the skylift takes you back to winter. I first thought that I would not be able to do my planned walk as the snow was icy, but the pathways...More

Although pricey this is an experience worth paying for. As you climb one of the world's longest and steepest cable cars you can watch the valley retreat to reveal long real lakes, glaciers, mad climbers and forests below as you head for the clouds in...More

While booking ahead is possible we didn't find it necessary to do so. There are several ticket machines on site and people available to help. The cable cars are also very large and hold a lot more than you would expect so... More
