This is a free museum, so worth a visit. We managed to park outside, but we were unsure whether we needed to pay and, if so, where to buy the ticket. The museum is small and took us around thirty minutes for a visit. The staff were very helpful.

Free entry to see a wonderful collection of Archeological finds from the local area which were beautifully displayed. Only a few English translations were provided but it is still worth a visit.

.....but an effort has been made to display their finds artistically and informatively. Some very impressive pieces are on display. Admission is free and the staff, who seem to spend their time relaxing and chatting in the entrance, are friendly and welcoming.
No sign of them wanting to hang on to my camera bag or other luggage. It was a nice way to spend 45 minutes on a cold and rainy afternoon.

This free museum is a little gem-se in a baoque house with 5 rooms of exhibits it has a wide range of finds from this ancient town. Particularly noteworthy were the fine terracotta statues of persephone and demeter but there is also a large collection of attic vases and craters. For a small town museum it was very impressive.

Small local museum. Having visited the Archeological Museum at the Valley of the Temples then nothing else can compare to it! Worth a quick look if you have time to spare.

Free entry into this very good collection of artifacts. Surprising collection of very well preserved items, that walks you through the history of the earliest inhabitants. Interesting and worthwhile

Items on display show the depth of history in this place and region. Definitely worth a quick visit while in Enna, free of charge and with a bathroom too!

Museum in a small town, not many exhibits fortuneatly it is free as it only takes about fifteen minutes to look round, this is not a must see.

In a rare mid-summer rain event, we decided to find shelter at the Museo di Enna. Enna is a small city in the heart of Sicily, with a rich past. Those interested in the Sicilian history can find artifacts even from ancient pre-Greek civilizations. The strange thing about the museum: a group of men casually chatting and plainly dressed at the entrance of the museum suddenly halts conversation and stares at the customers, they are the guarded (as opposed to guided) tour guys; yep, they are there to watch over your every steps through the museum. A chosen individual detaches from the group and lead you up a flight of stairs, where the museum is located, but not before making sure to relieve you of every bag you have: needless to say I felt concerned about leaving my camera bag with a few lenses outside, in plain view of all... but we braved it through. In the end, I received my objects back safe and sound. The fee wasn't very expensive and it turned out to be an interesting experience. The museum is not very big, but you can spend a long time observing the fragments of they many civilizations that inhabited the region. Visited in July of 2012, but I think it is worth telling the story.
