Beautiful walled garden and lovely fairy garden for kids. Nice restaurant and playground for kids with a nice picnic area.

The house is relatively basic and you make your own way round. However the story is interesting. The gardens are reasonably well maintained and the walks enjoyable. The eating and indoor arrangements are really good. Overall well worth a visit!

Belvedere House is a very small house (<10 rooms) which was a 'Gentleman's retreat' (aka wild party venue) from Dublin. Part of the family had the big ruined house (Tudenham) next door. The backstory has everything including the deserted wife locked in the attic for years. That was then this is now. The house has a large estate which is... More

Grounds are a lovely walk if the weather is on your side and some interesting things for children to see and do. 8 euro per adult is expensive for a council operated facility. 5 euro is... More

Go after 5pm in summer and you get in for half price...plenty of time to see house and then wander through the fairy garden and do a walk.....even go to the playground....well worth visiting but worth taking advantage of the reduced evening rate.

Spent a couple of hours wandering around. I found the follies the most interesting part of the estate and its worth following the map round. We found a tourist leaflet in a cafe which gave us 2 for 1 admission which made it seem quite reasonable. The cafe is a bit more interesting than you might expect and worth a... More
