- Jason ChauvinHouma, Louisiana365 contributionsRemembering better daysThis place is awsome. If your like me and you was a 10 year old kid in the 90s always going to the malls, bowling alleys, and movie theaters just to play the video games, then those games are here. I felt like I jumped in a time machine and it was 1994 again. Seriously no joke, it's the real deal. I'm glad there is someone out there who is as passionate about gaming as myself. It's truly a beautiful thing to see and experience. When I went back to my car, I literally had tears in my eyes because it reminded me of better days. I wish I was that 10 year old kid again.Visited May 2021Traveled soloWritten May 27, 2021
- spudheavenBentonville, Arkansas17 contributionsA Video Game Time Machine Back to the 80's--Cash OnlyA new favorite spot for my family. Went last night for the first time and loved watching my boys freely trying all kinds of old-school video games. Being a Friday night I was expecting it to be overly crowded, but it wasn't. Some of the games (maybe 20%) were out of order, but so many favorites were. Donkey Kong. Kong Jr. Galaga, Asteroids. And on and on. And for $5 per person? Are you kidding me? This place is a labor of love by the owner. You can tell the joy of sharing what makes them happy makes this place tick. My boys have already asked for a return trip and I'm going to be happy to oblige.Visited March 2023Written April 1, 2023
- LeatherburyEdmond, Oklahoma36 contributionsMom of the Year AwardSuch a great time with my 8 year old! Initially thought I’d mainly watch, but then all the old games brought back memories of playing them in the 80’s and 90’s and I was unstoppable. What a great bonding experience for me and my son. Super mom bonus points for us working together to beat Altered Beast TWO TIMES and Alien vs Predator once. Couldn’t have done it without the unlimited lives.Visited July 2022Traveled with familyWritten July 26, 2022
- NWA_VPOklahoma City, Oklahoma101 contributionsI spent many a quarter, and now you can play for one priceThis is a great local spot that does one thing really well: gives you a chance to re-live (mostly) 80s arcade and video game culture. I know most of these games pretty well, and there are a few from the late 70s, and a few are from the early 90s, but the majority of the machines you'll find here are from the height of the 80s video arcade craze: Many of the Pac-Man and Donkey Kong games, racing games like Pole Position and Spy Hunter, numerous fighting games like Street Fighter, classics like Tron, Dig-Dug, Galaga, Tempest, Centipede, and others. There are also some of the less aggressive games like Burger Time. They have several TVs set up with classic home consoles, too. Nintendo in the back, Atari up front. Pinball isn't a focus, but they have one or two machines, canadian style hockey (think foosball, but you actually control the position and spin of each individual player, and it's laid out like an actual hockey rink). They also have one of the few games based on the movie 'Wreck-It Ralph': Fix-It Felix. This was a custom build for movie promotion, and they ordered one. For 80s kids, there are a lot of classic table-top games, toys, and other memorabilia on display in the back. The best part about all of these games is that admission is a flat-rate $5. You can go early, go eat (they do have a snack bar, but the options are a bit limited), and come back later to keep playing. The staff is small and really friendly, and with limited access at the exit, it's pretty safe for younger kids to wander and play without worrying about them slipping out.Visited May 2014Traveled with familyWritten May 29, 2014
- jolli73San Antonio, Texas7 contributionsCheap fun for the whole familyVisited here to kill time. So much fun if you grew up in the 80's. All the old original Atari games that you can remember under one roof. For $5 you have unlimited game play. Dark and a little crowded on the weekend. Tip: Go during the week for optimal playing opportunity, wash hands frequently, don't touch your face, hand sanitizer is a MUST....HAVE FUN!!!Visited February 2017Traveled with familyWritten February 28, 2017
- Elizabeth KLonsdale, Arkansas43 contributionsGreat place!Great place with lots of vintage arcade games. You can't beat the value at only $5 to get in. There is a snack bar as well, so plan to stay a few hours. The owner is very friendly and wants everyone to have a good time.Written December 10, 2014
- JenniInOz51 contributionsAWESOME way to spend a few hours! We were in town to visit our son at the U of A again and were looking for a fun way to spend a few hours before the football game. My husband stumbled across Arkadia Retrocade and said we HAD to go. For $5 per person you get to travel through time about 30 years and play just about every old school video game you can think of...no quarters!! Burger Time, Frogger, Pole Position, Pac Man, Galaga, Centipede...they've got it all! They even have some couches set up in front of a few TV's where you can plug in the Nintendo. Our kids were amazed and had so much fun! You could stay for only an hour or stay all day and night for the same price. And here's the best part: since they were open until midnight, we actually came back AFTER the football game for an hour! I think they may have enjoyed Arkadia more than watching the Hogs stomp LSU....well, ALMOST.Visited November 2014Traveled with familyWritten November 18, 2014
- Lisa TMena, Arkansas32 contributionsA blast from the past!My husband and I ran across this little gem while on a recent trip to Fayetteville for another activity. We had some time to kill so slipped in and enjoyed some of our favorite games for our teen years. What a neat idea and a great, fun place to hang out and kill some time. My husband would've stayed all night if we had not had other plans. The young man working the door was friendly and helpful in explaining how the arcade worked. Where else can you go and spend $5 to play all the video games you want all day long? I can't wait to go back and let my husband really spend time enjoying and blasting away on the games he loves. I also noticed they had a party room and a little boy was having his birthday party there. Fabulous idea!!!!!! Very neat place to visit.Visited April 2014Traveled as a coupleWritten April 22, 2014

I took my fourteen-year-old son and his friend today and was blown away by the sheer number of retro video games all under one roof. Arcade games, tabletop games, Foosball games, retro game systems set up for play on old TV consoles - they are all available for play for a small fee at the door! They also have a party room available (with more games inside), and a small snack bar. My son thought everything was so cool, and I enjoyed the fun flashback!Visited March 2014Traveled with familyWritten March 29, 2014

I love introducing him to the games I played when I was a kid. I can tell it makes me feel like a teenager, at least until I leave and my wrists are killing me. Free play on everything, they guy that runs the place is super cool! If you get there and play a few hours and want to leave just tell him you'll be back and you're good to go. If you really like vintage video games this is THE place. I think they have just about every game from the 70s 80s and even some newer stuff that doesn't interest me. Some of the controls don't work real good but they work. Bathrooms are clean, we haven't partaken of the snack bar we are always too busy. They have a nintendo, and atari 2600 set up on vintage TVs. We can't go without spending 4/5 hours a trip. It is really an awesome place. If you are in Fayetteville you should really check it out!Visited October 2018Written October 22, 2018

College students and parents laughing and having fun! Cost us a lot less than if we had to put in quarters! Great to see our son enjoying the same games we enjoyed! Very gracious owner!

This place was absolutely AWESOME
Was in town for some training and was looking for something to do during the weekend
Found this place by accident
Cannot beat $5 for unlimited freeplay from open til close
And you can tell the owner just truly loves these games
I played games I hadn't seen in 30 years
I could've spent days & days there
I was taken bak to my childhood & didn't want to leave
I cannot say enough good things about this place
I just wish I had it back home
Thank you so much for keeping this experience alive

Yes, $5 ea. Me, my wife and 3 kids got there shortly after they opened and nearly closed it down. We had a BLAST! When I asked if they take credit cards or out of state checks, he said, "Checks man, we're totally 80's, no credit cards here!"
