I walk the 5.25 trail weekly and meet wonderful, healthy people Cyclists also use the trail and are always polite when passing. If you want an outdoor activity with family, this is the place. I also find it to be a relaxing place to walk the 5.25 miles and just explore nature.

Veteran's Park / Lake Fayetteville is our go-to family spot on a beautiful day! We typically park and unload our bikes at the parking lot by the sand volleyball courts off of Zion Road. We ride west for a minute and then north down the trail toward the bridge. Our teens and tweens like to stop on the big bridge... More

The lake is beautiful with nice walking and biking trails. The location is great -- right in the middle of town. There are playgrounds and picnic tables. Boats and bikes are available to rent. Everything you need for a great day outdoors.

Nice park with lots of activities available. Paved walking/biking trail, playground for children, picnic tables, and sand volleyball. Some of the old (non-paved) trails are still accessible if you want a 'wilder' walk. There are ducks on the lake. A great place for a walk.

I prefer more primitive parks, which aren't hard to find in the area. This is a good spot in the middle of everything, but is pretty populated and all the trails I found were paved.

This was a beautiful place to visit. I live in Texas in a town with a bunch of flat land so to see a place with as many trees and trails as this had just blew my mind. I walked about 2 miles on the bike trails they had going through the trees and around the lake. In the process... More

One of the nicest walks in Fayetteville or anywhere. 5 1/2 miles around for walkers and cyclists, on an asphalt trail or out on the soil nearer to nature. Eating places nearby but not intruding. At the Veteran's Park entrance, there's a nice beer garden and some other places close, sports facilities. Up by the Mall, there are eating trailers... More

How refreshing to have an old established lake with woody grounds in the middle of a highly urbanized area. Very inviting, good fishing and right off major highway.
