Family day out with 3 kids (6,9&11)
It is expensive at €42.50 but an enjoyable afternoon. Kids loved feeding the lambs and there was little pups that went down a treat. Staff were great with speaking to kids and showing them chicks.
Toilets in picnic area are filthy. Doesn't seem to be much up keep on anything since we were last here before covid.

We did the guided tour which means going to the visitors centre not the monument and there are several miles between the two. We travelled to Dowth first and then to Newgrange. We had guides at both sites who made the experience enjoyable. At five hundred years older than the pyramids they are impressive is not a bit of a folly, for 5 bodies.

This is a wonderful farm! I have nothing but good things to say about it... from the moment we arrived to the moment we left was thoroughly enjoyable.
On arrival we met the lovely David who gave us a bag with good for the ducks hens and goats which we were told to leave the empty bag with the lovely Mary to get a bottle of milk to feed the lambs.
It’s a wonderful experience here. It’s very well laid out and nice atmosphere. Plenty to see and do. I can’t wait to go back again and again...

Myself, Husband and 9 Year Old were on a 4 day trip up north and on the last day returning back down South i was looking for something easy going to break up the drive.
I happened along this place by luck whilst searching for petting farms along our route home. I booked online which was quick and easy and on arrival parked the car and followed the signs to the Cafe for check in.
I was met by a very friendly man who gave me a map of the farm and a paperbag. In the bag was a slice of bread to feed the ducks, a bag of Grain to feed the Hens and a bag of pellets to feed the goats. I was instructed to hand the empty bag to Bob in the courtyard when finished and he would in return give me a bottle of milk to feed the Lambs.
The set up is brilliant and there are play areas to include sand/water/go karts.
We got lunch from the cafe which was both reasonable and delicious and spent approx 2 hours onsite.
My daughter had a great time feeding and petting all the animals especially the bottle for the lamb!
We will most definately be back again!

I've always enjoyed going to newgange farm with my children. Today we visited and almost every toy was broken and not fit for use. Most of the go-karts had no seats , most of the tractors and cars had no steering wheels . Extremely disappointed with this place , considering I had paid €42 for myself and my children. Maintenance needs to be done . It's gone downhill big time.

We brought our three young grandchildren (aged 21/2, 4 and 51/2) for a day out at Newgrange Farm not far from Drogheda. It is a working farm with a lot of farm based attractions. They had a great time.
They had the chance to feed sheep, hold chicks only few days old, play with rabbits, kittens and pups along with feeding ducks and hens. and seeing many other farm animals close up. There were plenty of other activities too, a large sand-pit, water play area (not for getting into but it didn't stop them getting wet), toy tractors to ride around in, a hay/straw maze and an indoor play area. There also were picnic areas well set out and safe.
The highlight for us was the Tractor Trailer ride. It was a carriage attached to a tractor and held about 10 adults and twenty children. It was geared for the children and they loved it. Mary, our "guide" for this tour was exceptional and had the kids (and grown-ups) enjoying every minute. Full marks to all who thought this up and pulled it off so well. And this was the only extra at €3 a head and lasted about 45 minutes. Well worth it for the kids.
Overall, a family day out not to be missed. And all the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
P.S. Bring a picnic. There is a café but a picnic rounds off the adventure.

Nice place, day old chicks that we all got to hold. Could go In and pet the dogs/cats too once supervised by a member of staff. Indoor and outdoor picnic area, along with a cafe. I would suggest you bring a picnic though as it is expensive enough to get in, €9 per person. Little hay maze in a barn, go kart track, place with ride on tractors. Big sand pit, and water feature for the kids. Loads for the kids to do and with nicer weather you could spend half a day there. You get to feed lambs- although these lads were well outta the lamb phase but the kids still loved it. You can milk a wooden cow. Overall a nice morning spent there. One downfall, the toilets in the outdoor picnic area was flooded, ground covered in water, and had no toilet paper in it.
