Everything broken
Aug 2020 • Family
I've always enjoyed going to newgange farm with my children. Today we visited and almost every toy was broken and not fit for use. Most of the go-karts had no seats , most of the tractors and cars had no steering wheels . Extremely disappointed with this place , considering I had paid €42 for myself and my children. Maintenance needs to be done . It's gone downhill big time.

What a great Day
Aug 2019
We brought our three young grandchildren (aged 21/2, 4 and 51/2) for a day out at Newgrange Farm not far from Drogheda. It is a working farm with a lot of farm based attractions. They had a great time.
They had the chance to feed sheep, hold chicks only few days old, play with rabbits, kittens and pups along with feeding ducks and hens. and seeing many other farm animals close up. There were plenty of other activities too, a large sand-pit, water play area (not for getting into but it didn't stop them getting wet), toy tractors to ride around in, a hay/straw maze and an indoor play area. There also were picnic areas well set out and safe.
The highlight for us was the Tractor Trailer ride. It was a carriage attached to a tractor and held about 10 adults and twenty children. It was geared for the children and they loved it. Mary, our "guide" for this tour was exceptional and had the kids (and grown-ups) enjoying every minute. Full marks to all who thought this up and pulled it off so well. And this was the only extra at €3 a head and lasted about 45 minutes. Well worth it for the kids.
Overall, a family day out not to be missed. And all the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable.
P.S. Bring a picnic. There is a café but a picnic rounds off the adventure.

Visit to Newgrange farm
Aug 2019 • Family
Nice place, day old chicks that we all got to hold. Could go In and pet the dogs/cats too once supervised by a member of staff. Indoor and outdoor picnic area, along with a cafe. I would suggest you bring a picnic though as it is expensive enough to get in, €9 per person. Little hay maze in a barn, go kart track, place with ride on tractors. Big sand pit, and water feature for the kids. Loads for the kids to do and with nicer weather you could spend half a day there. You get to feed lambs- although these lads were well outta the lamb phase but the kids still loved it. You can milk a wooden cow. Overall a nice morning spent there. One downfall, the toilets in the outdoor picnic area was flooded, ground covered in water, and had no toilet paper in it.

We stopped here for a quick lunch on a tour with Martin J. Kelly tour of Newgrange and the Hill of Tara. They served a wonderful blended vigetable soup and sandwiches. There were a few animals around that looked well cared for.

Came for lunch but enjoyed the rest
May 2019 • Friends
We stopped for lunch here between visiting the Hill of Tara and Newgrange. There is a small cafe set up with homemade and prepackaged sandwiches for quick service. There is also lovely desserts (the banoffee pie looked delish) and soups as well. I had a lovely sandwich but ate it quickly and left to free up some space for the next customers. The place was very busy. After eating we had almost an hour to wander around and I so enjoyed all the animals. There were young sheep, goats, cows, puppies, and so many different birds and chickens. Enjoyed that part of the visit even more than the lunch. Lots of washrooms available as well. Lovely stop.

New family favourite
May 2019 • Family
My first visit to the farm today. it was excellent. My toddler held a puppy, a tiny chick, fed lambs and calves, milked the cow, fed ducks, played with chickens, spent nearly an hour in the huge sand area, ride on tractors and in the hay bale maze! We had a lovely fresh sandwich and coffee in the coffee shop. Every single member of staff was extremely friendly, helpful and kept asking had my little girl held this or that animal, they couldn't do enough for us. We have already organised another trip back with friends as there is a picnic area so you really could spend the day there. The tractor trip also well worth the €3! Great morning, highly recommend it.

Grandaughter loved it.
May 2019 • Family
Took my grandaughter to visit. We had a marvelous experience. She is 3 years old. She was able to visit alk the animals feed some of them and wander ariund for as long as we wanted. Ther is a round the farm tractor ride which she enjoyed and a play room where she mixed with other kids. It is a wonderful oppwrtunity to take children out and also educate them. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a wide variety of animals in a safe environment.

Cute farm
May 2019 • Family
We visited with family on a weekday. There were 3 coaches of young school children visiting so unfortunately no staff to let us hold or feed any animals but they had a good selection of animals and some nice play areas. Nice place to visit especially if the weather is nice but a bit pricey. Cafe and menu a bit basic and seemed to have tourists from Newgrange hill not the farm visiting filling it up which put us off.
