We walked around the church ruins which had a welcoming feeling as you got closer which only went when we left. The ruins have been well maintained.

A visit to Kilwirra Church is very worth-while for its haunted but scenic slender. When in Carlingford it would be a shame to not include this location on your list of places to visit.
