Excellent Food and Service and fairly easy to find if you follow the sign towards Swords. I can recommend the Rib Eye there (and hate to be forced to write a minimum of characters)

Went to celebrate my 50th with friends, just a few drinks but the service was too class, friendly & cheerful staff, great options on food & indoor/outdoor seating & good food served too

This is a really nice old pub with very friendly staff. The food is good whether upstairs or downstairs in the Well. The only problem is the Guinness is consistently awful. I don't know if its to do with not cleaning their lines or what but it has been really bad for as long as I can remember. Its a pity because other than that the place is tip top.

Parking turned out to be the deciding factor in our choice of restaurant for our last night in Ireland. We initially picked the Old School House across the street, but having driven around for 15 minutes looking for somewhere to park we abandoned the plan and headed to the Lordmayors with it's fantastic car park.
Finding the way in was a challenge, with two or three levels of pub/restaurant to pick from. Judging from the number of cars in the parking lot I would have thought that the place would be full, but it was easy to get a table.
The waitress was extremely helpful and efficient. Drinks came fast as we decided on our food choices from the excellent menu.
Food was served quickly and tasted great. Quality was as good as we had become accustomed to in Ireland. Don't let anyone tell you that the Irish can't cook - that's a myth!
Overall a great evening in Swords.

Found this place the night before when looking for a place to eat. Having a small child we went to the cafe downstairs thinking it was more suitable but it was full. Was impressed that the pub had a baby change room especially as I found they were scarce in Dublin city, apart from the main shopping mall. Wasn't sure if the main lounge would be suitable for bub but we encountered no such problems. The staff were beyond helpful and so lovely along with the patrons we sat next too. Bub had a great night charming the locals who are very friendly. We enjoyed our experience and the food so much we came back for an evening meal the next night knowing there would be live trad music which we were looking forward to. The evening was great, the staff from the night before remembered us (mainly our daughter!) and the service was again top notch as was the friendliness from other patrons. We had a great time chatting with the locals, bar staff and listening to the musicians play great Irish music which our 9 month old also greatly enjoyed. On top of that the food was bar none. Not only was everything freshly prepared and cooked to order, it was delicious! The sauté tiger prawns were the best I tasted and the lemon meringue pie was to die for. It took us 15 minutes to leave as we were saying goodbye to people we had just met. This place is highly recommended for not only its service and food but also the charm and friendliness of its patrons. As a tourist visiting Ireland, I suggest anyone wanting a great night out and wanting to avoid the hustle and bustle of Dublin city, head over to the Lordmayors pub for a great all round experience.

Stopped in for a quick drink and found the upstairs pub to be dark and a bit warm...We went downstairs and found another bar that was filled with younger people way too dressed up for my taste. For the record I am only 33 and can have a good time just about anywhere but this place was different. Lots of young preppy people who act like rich snobs.

Have always loved this pub + been a patron for over 30 years - both my sons had their communion parties here many years ago - but any time I've been in over the last couple of years it's been overcrowded + loud. 3 times this year we've been in for food - which is always excellent - but have had to wait for up to an hour for a table. Last time was just over the hour + the noise level was so bad we couldn't even hear each other across the table!! There was football on the TV's + a live band set up towards the end of our meal so we beat a retreat when we were finished.

The food when we got it was excellent as always, the service quick considering how many were in there - possibly most were only drinking hence it was quicker.

Think this place has become a victim of it's own success! Suggestion would be to separate the restaurant + bar so people who go out to meet can actually talk to each other!!

We stayed at an airport hotel (Travelodge, bare-bones but adequate) nearby on our last night after a week in Ireland. It was a 10 minute walk to town across a roundabout but once there the first restaurant you see is Lord Mayors. The pub on the main floor was lively and the music sounded good, but we chose to go downstairs where it was quieter. We had one of our best meals all week there: fish and chips but with an excellent salad; and pork with crispy skin and mash, and lots of excellent veg on the side. We craved veg after a week of meat and bread. This meal had it all. Excellent neighborhood pub.
