Sadly we visited Killybegs on the Morning of the 31st December so apart from a wee shop being open there wasn't a lot we could do. However it was worth the trip to see the Gorgeous Views over Killybegs harbour and all the fishing Vessels docked and It was just a nice town to walk around.

An attractive fishing village with some serious fishing vessels in the harbour. The wharf gives a commanding view of the port and the main street winds its way near the bay. Interesting hotels and quaint churches make this an interesting place to explore.

Killybegs is a great fishing village and if you are in the Donegal Town area it is worth going to. Close to and on the route to Slieve League Cliffs

Nice place to stop on your way to Slieve League. Very quite when we called at 11:00am. Bet it was busy early hours when the boats come in from fishing.

We visited Killybegs on a cruise ship and would love to return to the area for a longer driving holiday. The shops were reminiscent of times gone by and the whole town was peaceful, yet the local people were very friendly. We had a drink sitting outside a local pub and then got some hot food and a canned drink... More

Some very large fishing trawlers at Killybegs harbour. Nice place for a walk round but nothing special.
