I did the Thorsmork tour at the end of May and loved every minute of it. Hannes, Sophie, Ava and Maria were amazing guides and it was so fun to try different horses. These little horses have no quit in them and are fast and sturdy over all kinds of terrain. Riding with a free running herd is a wonderful experience! I had a smile on my face the whole time and couldn’t help but think, why would anyone want to see Iceland any other way than from horseback. I so hope to be back for another trip in the future!

We had a fantastic four days with Sophie and Hannes, our guides Lisa and Leon, and horses we wanted to pack in our suitcases and bring home. They were warm, considerate, and attentive hosts. The house was excellently prepared for our visit. All dietary needs were accommodated. They were excited to share their knowledge and ensure that we had a great time.

The horses were well tended, and their knowledge of their herd allowed them to match us well. Our group’s skill level ranged from beginner to quite advanced, and all were happy and felt included.

It was Iceland in September, so we were prepared to ride in all weather. For the rainier days, they provided appropriate rain gear, and our rides were still fun.

The views were amazing, and each day brought a different side of the region. The horses are surefooted and confident on the varied terrain.

We are looking forward to visiting them again.

I contacted them in the morning as a previous horse riding company had cancelled on us that morning. Margret was wonderful!!! She very quickly exchanged emails with me and found us a farm about an hour away that could accommodate us and the time we wanted to ride. The price was very reasonable. More importantly our two guides, Leon and Lisa from farm Kalfholl were exceptional. Very easy going, informative and personable. We went on a fantastic ride with lots and lots of opportunities to experience the special gaits of the Icelandic horse. We had wind and rain at times, but it just didn't bother us as we were having so much fun. I highly recommend this company.

My wife and I took the horse riding and dinner with a viking single day adventure. Run to this adventure, do not walk it was incredible. So much better than expected. The property is beautiful, I believe he said we were able to see 5 volcanos while on our ride. But the riding, as amazing as it is, wasn't even the best part. He taught us how to ride the Icelandic style, paired us with horses we got to bond with and groom, learned to put their tack on. Plus the farm hands accompanied us on the adventure who were both amazing people and very helpful. Not to mention an incredible local dinner that was made for us. The thing I will miss most are my new friends I made, even offered to take us to a different riding location the next time we come back during the summer (hopefully soon). You may think im over selling this, but you won't know until you go. You'll get to do real riding on top tier horses.

This was a once in a life time adventure. We rode Icelandic horses for 6 days across the Golden Circle locale. Spectacular scenery, sure-footed, sweet tempered horses and marvelous guides. Excellent food and cozy accommodations. We can't wait to go again.
