We went on the family tour (Bike & cave) with Mummi and had a great experience. Mummi is really calm and a nice guy. Our 10 year old put it nicely - "It´s like Mummi was travelling with us as a part of the family from the start" The nature, the 500 meter cave, the jump in the waterfall, the bikes and the guide was a great way to end the 7 days trip around the south.

We went on a tour with Rannveig and Mummi and had great time. The tour is challenging but yet a lot of fun in the beautiful Icelandic nature. The bikes are very good and owners are friendly and knowledgeable. Ended the tour with coffee, home baked cake and sauna. Couldn’t be better! P.S. I would recommend people to know the others on the group since the route is technical and while one goes fast another one might need more time to go through.

Good points: Really nice people, excellent equipment, and beautiful area. Not so great points: Communication and complexity of the downhill bit. We had booked the full day tour, which was supposed to be 4-6 hours starting at 9:00, but was told the day before that starting time was 11:00 (got it moved back to 9:00 though), and it was 3 hours in total, not the 4-6 we thought. Based on reviews on here and descriptions on the website, we expected a totally different route than we got - this was leaving from the farm, not driving to the track everyone else seems to have experienced. The uphill part was hard work but technically doable, however, the descent was too technically demanding (we’re fairly experienced mountain bikers, although less so on difficult downhill tracks) The first part of the descent was rough terrain so close to a canyon that it was simply too scary to ride the bike. The second part was better, but still not ride-friendly. All in all we were pretty disappointed not to be able to enjoy the descent after working so hard for it... A last comment is that we really appreciated the cup of coffee and possibility to take a shower afterwards (would have been fantastic if towels had been available)

We went for the guided tour but as novice mountain bike rides were recommended to do a solo easy route near the farm. This proved to be unrideable in many parts & involved a lot of bike pushing. For experienced riders there are some great challenging rides but it’s a technical sport and more demanding than riding smooth trails. The farm also has a couple of huts to rent and a nice barn with kitchen, sofas, saunas and stuff. Nice people also.

The nature, the view is amazing and hosts are fantastic. We rented a small cottage and took a nice relaxing sauna at the facilities at the farm. Amazing trip, two families traveling together (in total a company of 4+5=9). We will be coming again!!
