Mývatn Nature Baths is an absolute gem and a must-visit when exploring North Iceland. The warm, mineral-rich waters are incredibly relaxing, offering the perfect way to unwind while surrounded by breathtaking volcanic landscapes. The water temperature is just right, even on a chilly day and the steam rising from the pools adds to the magical atmosphere. Our children 9&11 year old also loved it! The Nature Baths feel more intimate and less crowded than other thermal pools, allowing for a peaceful and immersive experience. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, with showers, changing rooms, and a small café serving drinks and delicious snacks. Sitting in the warm water while watching the sun set over the surrounding lava fields is truly unforgettable!!! Wonderful experience. It has a hot pool, a slightly colder one and a small pool (about 7 people) at 41 degrees and a Turkish bath. They are full-fledged thermal baths (they tell you to remove the jewels before entering), the floor is made of pebbles and around the bathrooms a surreal panorama made of volcanoes, fumaroles and endless expanses. We stayed in August and found the snow, it was very suggestive, a relaxing break in the middle of the ride to the geothermal area of Mývatn. Good value for money considering Icelandic prices: 45 euros about the entrance (half compared to the other Reykjavík lagoons) Highly recommended!

We had a very good visit to these hot baths..we have been before 9 years ago. It was very quiet when we went..it was a nice experience as it was snowing outside. It was really relaxing, very clean. We had forgotten to take our towels with us and we rented some towels from them..this was very expensive..

The overall experience was ok. It was busy. There were families with children and the shower facilities were ok. The local baths in Reykjavik have better changing/shower areas. The views were good and you could see the lake from the steam room as well

Nice spa to visit if you are in the area. There are three pools with three different graduations and two saunas. They also provide free still water and a pool bar is then available to buy drinks. However, I recommend paying for drinks at the entrance before entering, otherwise you need to take your card into the water and it is not very convenient. Have a relaxing evening!

Really enjoyed this place. I did not get to go to Blue Lagoon because my plane was delayed and arrived after closing time, so no refund. But Myvatn Nature Baths we did not need a booking so no financial risk and was much cheaper so my suggestion if you are doing the full ring road would be to simply not bother with Blue Lagoon and just do Myvatn. My wife was able to do both because she arrived on a different flight (long story short, we started in different countries) and agrees

It's worth going. Compared to the Blue Lagoon it is a more "real" structure, set in a beautiful landscape. They are doing work that will finish in 2025 and plan to expand it. Dilapidated locker room about cleaning at the Blue Lagoon level. Bring your slippers that are not available on site. Tiny lockers. Hot pool and lukewarm pool + a 41 degree tub for a few people. Slightly sulphurous water. Here too, when groups arrive, dozens upon dozens of people end peace.

very good time spent in these baths at 41°. We had a voucher from our travel agency so a Reservation good because they were full on our schedule We can rent towels 1000kr , lockers available, common changing rooms no individual cabins. An excellent moment of relaxation.

Best part of the trip. Well organized, spacious, with possibility of having a drink both in the pool and in a large dining room. It smells like sulfur, but it's what characterizes it. Bearable. Highly recommended because, it is not cold.

Spa facility located in the north of Iceland more spartan than the well-known Blue Lagoon, but perhaps for this reason more true. There are two large tubs at different temperatures (cooler than the outside) and a small rectangular tub at 41 °. Spectacular views of the surrounding area. Essential changing rooms, with showers equipped with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Possibility to rent towels. Work is underway to expand and modernize the structure.
