This tour was extraordinary. Sultana is extremely knowledgeable and professional.
She provided a broad based and personalized interest tour, I was able to get a better understanding of the area's history relative to my family's personal history. I sincerely recommend Sultana for this experience.

Competent very communicative and very well informed about Doha landmark Sharif Massouh was ideal guide for my cultural tour. We was on some beautiful places, cultural buildings, mosque and Islamic center. Very warmly accepted like a guest. High level hostility and knowledge so friendly and unforgeteble. I will come back with friends because I really was surprised with this so friendly and high professional expirience in Doha.

It has been a wonderful experience to be around Kastoria! It has great attractions, places to visit and see, as well as places for entertainment. Appart from that, it is central to other places that would be a mistake not to visit while in Kastoria, such as Prespes lakes and their sights.

Kastoria is so rich in history with a great deal of lessons to be taught. This would have been impossible without the full picture and impartial view that has been provided by Soultana (you may also know her as Souzi). Her studies give her the chance to provide enough information on any aspect the discussion and tour guide may come about, as well to provide a perspective that is relevant and understandable by travelers and tourists. Her open and friendly character make her the ultimate guide.

During a breakfast conversation at the Andromeda hotel it took only one short telephone call to have a guided tour of Kastoria organised. We met Sultana of Culture 8 an hour later and she took us on a historical and cultural tour through the labyrinth of narrow streets in Kastoria. Discovering this small picturesque town together with the expert comment was an exciting and learnful experience, that could not be spoiled ... not even by the rain. Super! Carlo & Myriam

We really enjoyed our tour of the Doltso area with Sultana. She did a great job of sharing the rich history of Kastoria from ancient times to today. We learned so much about the specific Doltso area of Kastoria, the city itself and the region. How all these tied to together to tell the story of Kastoria and it's people. It was a delightful way to spend the morning. Sultana loves her city and it shows! Thank you Sultana for sharing the love of your city with us. We LOVED Kastoria!

Walking through the 18th century buildings and Byzantine churches that brings you to a different period of time, Kastoria was fascinating and worth visiting. I'll never forget the walk by the lake nor the Greek Coffee we had watching the sunrise during the lake's tour. Thank you very much!!!

We contacted Sultana through this website, engaging her to provide a general tour of the old town area of Kastoria. She conducted a two part walking tour, initially discussing the cultural and religious milieu of Kastoria from Eastern Roman through Ottoman and post-Ottoman timeframes. This included such unexpected characteristics such as how lake affected the city, both natural and piratical.
Of especial interest to us was the churches and their central place in Eastern Roman life. Sultana was knowledgeable in both church iconography and the interaction of church and family.
I wish to commend Culture 8, through the efforts of Sultana, for providing an exemplary historical tour of Kastoria and I recommend them highly.

Our group of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Sultana and I highly recommend Culture 8 as a first stop to getting the most out of Kastoria. We started with a lakeside discussion (along with mezze!) of the culture and history of the city and country and then we launched on our walk and talk around the old district. Sultana offers her own informative maps and guides and is an accurate reporter of the sites (churches, architecture, life, etc). We ended our tour with a wonderful lunch, a stop for purchasing local products. Sultana is delightful and makes you want to spend more time in Kastoria to learn more about this fascinating part of Greece. Θαυμάσια!
