This is a privately owned cavern managed by a family. They are very nice and the tour is interesting and personal. There are some nice formations, although many have been broken by vandals and thieves many decades ago. The cave is rather small and the tour doesn't last long. But, it is worth seeing once.

The owners are super friendly and the shop is really neat, but as someone who has been to several real big caves, this just wasn't anything spectacular. It would be fantastic for kids and first time Cave explorers.

I told myself I wasn't going to do the "touristy" things on our trip to Eureka Springs... well, I was wrong! The weather was so cold and activities limited so my husband and I decided to check out Onyx Cave Park. It was really fun... and not terribly expensive. This is only a half hour self guided tour. This was our 2nd trip just for nostalgia reasons. Since it is self guided there is nothing stopping the guests from touching or destroying parts of the cave. They have the same headphones & tour script from the 80's but the couple who run it are nice & do what they... More

Onyx cave is a little gem right outside of town. It's a bit of an odd road to get there, passing some run down aircraft and eventually driving on a 1 lane road. I'd say the cave was a bit smaller than I expected, but the tour was great. You get a headset that leads you through the history and... More
