We stayed at Sugar Ridge Resort right on the lake and it was beautiful. We went swimming in the lake which was nice and also floated the white river coming out of the dam at the lake. The water was nice and everyone was so friendly. Will definitely come back!

We are from Kansas City, MO, and have been to Tablerock lake numerous times, which is very much like Beaver Lake: clear, clean water, undeveloped (for the most part) shore line, Corps of Engineers lake. But Tablerock has SO many more places to rent a boat We stayed in Eureka Springs and had to drive forever to get to 1... More

Clear, beautiful water, great campgrounds. Extremely large lake perfect for boating and/or camping. Several camping areas to choose from, some right next to the water.

We don't have a boat and didn't rent a boat although it is possible. We just got in the water and played. The water was so clear you could see the bottom.

We did two extended swim trips while in the area. Water like we've never seen before in a fresh water lake. With goggles on, we could chase all kinds of fish and just marvel in the clarity of the water. Lots of shade, not too many people. PLEASE BRING A TRASH BAG. There is only one trash can, a dumpster... We drove around Beaver Lake to see what it was like and decide if we wanted to ride Belle of the Ozarks. We ended up at the marina buying a freshly prepared pizza. We also looked around at camping areas and scenic views. This is a gorgeous area. Lots of trees and blue water.

This lake is very beautiful and well kept. Visited the Dam area, and there are lots of places to visit and hike.

I wanted to go and see Beaver Dam. I seen it was not to impressed. Not worth the drive to see this is you are not planning on staying and fishing or swimming. Its about a 30-45 mins outside of Eureka Springs.

Perhaps it's because all of the lakes in kansas are the color of chocolate milk... But beaver lake is perfect! Nice, warm, clear water as far as you can see!
