I LOVE Beaver Lake! It is always so clean. We swam on the swim beach and the water is so clear you can see your feet in the water! The Dam Site swim beach is a little crowded on a Saturday afternoon but still nice.

This is one of my favorite lakes in the US. We went to the Beaver Dam recreation site to swim, fish, and picnic. We couldn't have had a more perfect time. The water is clear, the swimming beach very well kept, and great facilities. Don't...More

This lake is the first major lake in a series of Army Corps of Engineer projects done in the 1950's and later. The view from the overlook is beautiful-both of the lake and the White River below. The purposes of the project were many including...More

The Corp of Engineers manages this lake and maintains a perimeter of forested shoreline so that from the water the view is magnificent forest, with very few houses intruding. Some houses can be glimpsed through the trees, and the higher ground has houses in places,...More

The lake itself is really gorgeous, but on a busy holiday weekend it’s hard to get near. We ended up just kind of driving around it and did a small amount of hiking. A boat rental was pretty much impossible the weekend we were there,...More

Loved the view from every location around the lake. Not too crowded and lots of fun activities and things to do around the area.

Stunning views. Pictures do no justice to the views. Definetely worth the drive to see. Watch for deer, they pop up quickly.

The trail head says the hike is 2 miles, but my tracker stated it was only 1.5 miles. Very mountainous so even though it's a short hike, it can be difficult. The views are amazing along the way. The trail is not kept up well...More

Awesome place to hang out with dear ones and have facility to do camps or barbecue by the bank of lake. Historical details are available at the top of the dam.

Oh, and we purchased it directly from an Army Corps of Engineers park ranger. That's the issuing agency. Hope this helps.
