Stumbled across this after a day out in Ribe and it is an exceptional place - despite not being huge wildlife fans it kept us captivated for several hours and the technology and styling of the experience are 2nd to none.

Wonderful place, with beautiful newly constructed museum building. Blending in perfectly with the surroundings. Really innnovative exhibition, interesting to both children and grown ups.

The new Vadehavscentret is a gem. It's got something for both kids and grown-ups, and a lot of interactivity suitable for all ages - a textbook example of how to make a modern and immersive exhibition. The museum is focused around the wildlife (mainly birds)...More

The building is amazing from the outside. It is simple and beautiful! The exhibition is great for kids and adults. Modern and great exhibiton design. You learn a lot about the surrounding ecosystem. There is a touch-pool for kids.

Beautiful place to visit, great architecture and interesting. The coffee at the cafeteria is not worth trying!

The larger oyster tour happens during autumn - winter- spring. It is a scenic and beautiful long walk on the bottom of the ocean during tide. The oyster banks are 4 km out and you can eat and bring back as much as you want....More

An absolutely beautiful building, but full of nothing much. The building is largely built of thatch, and is spectacular, and some of the displays inside are pretty impressive, but it does seem to be largely an educational resource and lacks any real interest for the...More

A very nice „museum“ with some creative ways of presenting! Had a very good time here and learned many new things about the Wadfen sea.

The exhibition is very informative but perhaps a little narrow in its range but still give you a good impression of what the 'Vadehavet' is. Main reason for visiting is the design of the building escpecially the thatchery is impressive - worth a detour!

Loved the exhibition of the bird life and their migration. Really pitched and bird lovers rather than people like myself. But really the thatched roof and walls of the amazing centre are worth the visit.
