Very interesting place - beautiful old church-museum, have panoramic view, where you can see all Ribe - the oldest town in Denmark. Entry not free, but very cheap.

Very impressive church from the outside, but there are nicer churches and cathedrals in Denmark. Worth a visit if you are in town.

Well we only went to the belltower to see the sights. It was near closing time so we were allowed to enter for free, which was nice. Ribe is so small that you can see everything from the tower easily. The climing is not suitable for ppl with leg or back problems.

This is a very beautiful church in so many ways. Take the time to look at all the different details and you'll be amazed. I was surprised by the wonderful art work around the altar by the CoBrA artist Carl Henning Pedersen. A pity that guidebooks are not mentioning it and that it is so little advertised. Church closes at... More

Lovely village, beautiful buildings, lots of cafes and shops. A must visit on your trip. The church is really beautiful inside . Free to enter but donations very welcome.

A trip to Ribe must include a visit to the old cathedral. Completed around 1250 this magnificent cathedral houses many tombs, testimonials and other interesting artifacts

The Ribe Domkirche (cathedral) is one of the town’s must-sees, so it had plenty of visitors the day we were there; yet it was so large that it retained an air of tranquility. It had the expected glorious altarpiece, some nice frescoes of saints and a painted pulpit. But the most interesting feature was the tombs of various bishops and... More

We climbed to the top of the tower to look over the city and surrounding areas. Nothing spectacular to see, but I enjoyed it all the same as it gave me a good feel for the place.

Pretty church with some interesting surrounding statues. They also have unearthed the original monastery next door which was very interesting (~1100ad)

Not being a religious man i can only say that the church is quite pretty. The view from the top tower is however excellent and well worth the 20 DKK.

Thank Alexander Z
