This is such a pretty place. Going 'up' to the top is slightly reminiscent of going up "Pikes Peak" with the curvy road... No, it's nowhere near as 'high', but the winding road reminds me of it. There are rental cottages up here that are awesome and most have a spectacular view. Several walking trails. We went in the fall,... More

Mt. Nebo is a terrific place for a family day trip. There is a gorgeous winding road up the side of the mountain. It is an easy drive from Little Rock, and a good place to watch fall color. The trails are well maintained, and fun to hike. We took the bench trail. I think this would be a terrific... More

Very nice drive up to the state park, we hiked the rim trail, very nice hike but not very easy. The only thing we didn't like was that there were private houses in the park.

We spent one night in cabin 68. It was quiet, peaceful, and the sunset was amazing even though it was a cloudy night. This is definitely the place to go top just relax and take in the views from the top of the mountain. We aren't really hikers, but i enjoyed a "stroll" down one b of the trails. Trails... More

We decided to take my daughter and her grandparents as they had never been to the state park at the top. It was a beautiful fall day with temps in the upper sixties to mid seventies by lunchtime. I don't think we saw a cloud in the sky all day and the views from the lookout points were crystal clear.... More

This park is located on top of Mt. Nebo. The view from the overlooks is terrific. The park itself is a bit under-whelming since much of it is built up with private homes. There are several hiking trails, some strenuous. We found the bench trail to be perfect for us. It is a generally level trail following a bench 100'... More

Took an afternoon drive up to Nebo with the wife. We had hopped for some fall colors but were about 2 weeks early on our trip. The area is nice and the views were great. Good place to visit but just not a whole lot to do other than sit and watch the world go by.

The drive up is trecherous, there's no doubt about that. Be prepared for some crazy switchbacks. Made me think i was in Colorado. Watch out for people hiking up the road, they seem to like to do that, and there's little room for people and 2 cars, so be aware. Views are amazing. We tried to do the rim trail... More

The hardest part of visiting this state park is the 4 mile 18% grade (steep) road with hair pin turns leading up to the park. Once you get there, you are on top of the mountain, and there is a sunrise park on one end, and a sunset park on the other end. There are some older cabins for rent... More
