If you're pulling a long trailer, don't bother; the road up is steep, winding with short switchbacks, and not for the faint of heart. But, if you make the drive up, you'll find an excellent park with fantastic views and plenty of hiking. There are...More

Travelers will need to be aware this is a very curvy road that must be driven with some care. But once atop, the park is lovely with great hiking trails, good roads for walking and biking, and state park or private accommodations to rent. The...More

Visited on a very hot humid day. Heat index was 108. Loved the rim trail. It is 3.5 miles. Lots of beautiful lookout areas. The sunrise/sunset areas are great. I didn't like that they have a lot of rent/private homes mingled in with the state...More

We loved Mt Nebo! Our campsite had a great view and was near the sparkling bath house and the refreshing pool (it was HOT and the water was cold!). Since we were there in the middle of July and early in the week, we had...More

We rented a cabin here on Mount Nebo and after an hour hike around the rim, just sat on our deck looking West and watching the sun slowly sink into Oklahoma. Quiet and beautiful on above the valley and Arkansas River below ( at least...More

Loved the cabin and seclusion. Was wonderful. Mt Nebo is for families that like to hike would have liked to have more info on other things in the area. It was difficult to find information about other things to do as well.

Getting to the top of MT Nebo is itself a experience. If you dont have a good set of nerves, be very careful. There are hairpin turns and the it's a very steep drive. Once on top you can see for miles and miles. Picture...More

Went with friends for a couple of nights. Stayed in a cabin that was clean, comfortable, and had a complete kitchen. The views are impressive and you can walk around the edge of the mountain top to get unobstructed views. Saw several deer and even...More

Almost everyday we start one way and end up in places we didn't know about, but visit because a recommendation or just a sgn on the road. Glad we made it here, the view was great.

Mt Nebo is beautiful - they host gorgeous weddings, have a mountaintop swimming pool with great views, and there are lots of hikes. It's also an easy drive up to the top - a little windy and curvy, but worth it!

Since the campground was empty -- literally -- it's really hard to say. I don't think any of the sites are "secluded." I'd say sites 15-19 are closest to the bathhouse but 16 and 17 are scenic and probably are taken. If... More
