We were staying in the area and saw on Trip Advisor that there were two things to do in Cherokee Village - this was number one, and the nature trail is number two. Having visited both, I can indeed confirm that this one is the best. I mean, it's not Disneyland or anything, it's a wooden lookout over a river after all. It is a nice place to go though, especially if you prefer looking at things to walking one mile in a loop through some woodland. You don't really have many other options.

Star Falls lookout overlooks the Southfork River as it winds its way to the Spring River. There are many stairs going down to a gazebo, so it is not for everyone, but it is well worth the climb!!

There is a small place to pull over and go see the view. It is a very short walk. You can continue down the road to where the road is even with the river and you can enjoy the river. Some people also call this Star Falls Overlook.

Coming back from Hardy we stopped on this roadside attraction. Several steps to get to the platform to look at the rapids. Very nice springs and won't take you long to look at and back on the road. The caravan of family members all enjoyed the photo opt from the platform.

Not as big as one might think. Pretty area in October with the leaves having color. The town of Cherokee has several parks and hiking trails. Didn’t expect rain while we were here so unable to get out and walk.

This is a beautiful sight. Great picture taking opportunity. Make sure you call Cherokee Village to see if it is open and repaired. The wooden walk way has been roped off due to damage from a storm.
