I have been here a couple of times over the last 3 weeks. Fantastic views from up here. You can see as far as Brownhills, West Bromwich, Birmingham. Nice quiet place to get away for an hour. Definitely worth a visit.

You can get a good view of the West Midlands conurbation from here and then looking the opposite way you can see rural Staffordshire. You can have a reasonable walk on the Beacon, but note it can be cold and windy on a winter's day

This place is absolutely fab for picnics and for kite flying Scenery is very good so you can see for miles and miles on a clear day Advice for visitors take binoculars for a better view Highly recommended for fresh air

Good outdoor area a must for walkers you can walk for about three to four miles good picnic area you will love it

To be honest Barr Beacon is a really lovely place if your only looking to spend an hour or so somewhere. The view from the top of the Beacon is lovely.. you can see for miles but, apart from the view and the Folly there...More
