Had a fantastic weekend on the 50’ bunkhouse houseboat. Highly recommend! House boat #11 had just been remodeled and it is amazing! We anchored the boat in Little Sisters cove and had such a relaxing weekend - hanging out on floaties on calm water. Everyone at the dock was fantastic and very helpful getting us loaded and off for our relaxing weekend. The best review I read advised to be prepared- it’s like camping on the water- being prepared is key for a great time.

We had a total of 15 of us staying in multiple rooms for 2 nights. Spent a full day on a pontoon boat (the slide was definitely a hit) and ski boat -- brave ones tubed :). All was wonderful! The people couldn't have been nicer, the lake beautiful, the boats clean and nice. Pool was great! Cooking area (that we actually didn't use) was nice to have as an option. Rooms were clean, neat and just right.

Just got back from our houseboat long weekend for July 4th. We are a family of 4, kids are adults 21 and 19. We are all scuba divers. We rented the 50 ft bunk house houseboat for 3 nights. We had a wonderful time. I sought some online advice to make sure we were prepared. Think of this trip as camping on the water. You need to bring all your food, prep it so you can use the grill for everything. I did make popcorn on the stove but kept all other cooking outdoors. The fridge is more like a cooler. Bring coolers with ice like you would if you were camping. I seasoned/marinated all the meat in zip locks as well as lasagna and froze. This kept cold in cooler in closet for the 3 days no problem. Pulled out to defrost as needed. Boats are OLD but have everything you need. Husband and I brought foam mattress toppers and slept very comfortably. Kids brought sleeping bags to top their mattress. When you go to gas dock to pick up items (we had to refill scuba tanks) note it takes some time. They will do a good job...gas up, pump out, refill water, get you ice, but you will have other boats in front of you so plan for a wait. It is tricky for new boaters to wait in line in harbor. Your driver can find it stressful as the boat is pushed easily by winds. We found hooking to the closest buoy to dock is helpful. Generator took three tries to start every time. Boat had a couple of hard to start times as well. BUT when I emailed the boat dock, Ashley replied immediately. They were very responsive and would have come out but we got it going every time. We enjoyed the privacy of shoring up in our own cove. We also liked the ease of clipping to buoy in the boat dock harbor. Swimming off your own floating home whenever you like is awesome. You cannot anchor a houseboat as easily as a pontoon so we were limited in where we could dive. We mainly dove Frost wall. Really wanted to dive the other wall but could not figure out how to secure the boat. You would need one person to stay on the boat to drop and and pick you up. Great experience. Some physical work involved when beaching.

Given the fact of the virus hitting all over we tried something new. We went to Arkansas! Bull Shoals Lake to be exact. The customer service was the sweetest and the sunsets were breathtaking. Not only were we surprised by such a family oriented place but the staff made you feel like you were visiting a home away from home. The weather was unpredictable but the sunsets after a storm... WOW. well worth it. I was skeptical when I read reviews about the not so nice customers and the dirtiness of the place.. but you obviously can’t believe everything you read. I’m not sure where THOSE bathrooms were but these are the ones we were provided.
I would highly recommend this place for a small getaway to anyone! My family will be coming back next year! Thank you guys so much.

Rented houseboat August 3-10 - pictures on the website look good, the boat was in horrible condition. It had a sign on the sliding door that the boat had been sanitized - it was not even remotely clean, let alone sanitized. The welding on the exterior pulls on the boat was so rusted my husband almost fell off when he reached out to grab it getting in from the water. The engine of the boat was SO sluggish and only a few outlets worked. Would really like to contact someone to check them out - like health department - ? Not sure who.
Don't make the mistake we did!

Bull shoals boat dock used to be a awesome place to visit. Ever since John passed, it has gone downhill at a rapid rate. I posted some pictures of the bathrooms they expect their customers to use.

Had good interaction through email to find out availability of a pontoon boat. Rented a pontoon for the afternoon. Process getting it checked out was slow and clearly the staff was overwhelmed as it took almost 30 minutes after our check in time to start getting the boat out. Despite Arkansas mask mandate, only saw 1-2 employees wearing them (most important indoors and wasn't really being done). The boat we received was ok. Ran well although a few times the motor took a couple of cranks to start. The boat did need maintenance (ripped seats with moldy cushions, fuel gauge that was flipping all over the place, speedometer didn't work). Docking the boat took a bit and the staff seemed to be having troubles with charging all customers for their gas as some were being charged and others weren't.

Overall, our family had a fun time on Bull Shoals Lake and with the boat. The area is truly beautiful and the lake was very calm and clear. Some of the older staff were very friendly. Would have been 5 stars with a better maintained boat and being a little more efficient.

This is a nice marina that houses a number of boats. It appears to be well maintained. It's a relaxing activity while you're camping to be along the water and admire the boats.

Docks were flooded while there , so parking was very limited. Number placement on dock slips were all over the place. We used dock 6 and numbers skipped from 200’s to 600’s. Some have 2 numbers on one slip. Confusing. Staff had to shuttle people to their boat. No wake doesn’t mean anything to staff when they’re shuttling people. They just motor right on by. People at marina not real friendly. But it was convenient for lake. Great store items to buy there. Has scuba supplies and fishing stuff too. Not as nice as Lakeview Marina They always knocks down spider webs and keeps their docks real nice.

We rented a pontoon for the day and everyone had a great time. The boat was large enough to accommodate my party of 12. Staff was wonderful about getting things set up and teaching us the particulars about the boat. Loved the top deck and the slide.
