Cosmic Cavern was discovered in 1845, but wasn'€™t developed until 1927. The cave features a 9 foot soda straw the longest known in the Ozarks, and two bottomless lakes. One of the lakes was discovered in 1993 in the "Silent Splendor" section which made national news. This was Arkansas’ most delicate discovery. Make sure to bring your camera! Gift Shop, Snacks, Picnic area and camping available.

This cave is oddly warm and very humid, so dress accordingly. The tour lasted a little over a hour. Would not recommend for claustrophobic people. Some place you had to bend over to walk down due to low ceilings. This is a privately owned cave. Our only complaint was we were told the tour plus begin when we got there.... More

We had a great time, the cave was so beautiful and our tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. She stopped and took pictures of us that came out great! The only thing we didn't like was that people kept joining our tour group and so the history of the cave was repeated to us 3 times. Overall I would... More

I had mixed feelings about stopping here after reading some of the reviews. Wow, could the bad reviews be any further from the truth, that this is an amazing place. The tour guide we had owned the caverns. He was witty and told our group about all the experiences he's had as an owner. I thought he did a fantastic... More

Interesting cave. Friendly guides. About a one hour tour. Gift shop. VERY small "museum." Winter tours started about every hour.

Impressive cave that can be toured all year, not closed seasonally like so many. Our guide, Steve, was very knowledgeable and also very helpful as to my physical limitations. Upon seeing us park in the handicap space, he let us know about the number of steps, length of tour, and options available if I wanted to start the tour &... More

Moe and Steve were so nice. Moe was our tour guide and it was a blast. She provided a lot of history on the cave and cares deeply about its preservation and the life within it. We did not get to see any of the bats but we did see frogs and a salamander chillin' on the side of the... More

Absolutely loved our experience. Our guide Mo (just a tiny little gal) was lots of fun, and proved to be a wealth of knowledge. We are intrigued to follow the process, as they continue to explore other possible caverns. Very cool to know it is owned by a family and not a corporation or the state.

Gorgeous underground formations. Underground lakes were amazing. Mo was our guide and she was the best! She was knowledgable, enthusiastic, and entertaining. The history of the cave was very interesting. This is a "a must see" on your vacation. We will be back for the wild cave tours that they offer after hours the next tine we vacation. The only... Toured in September 2015. I'm not big on going underground but always enjoy the scenery when I get there. Mo knew I was anxious and nervous and handled everything perfectly with humor and fun. She was very knowledgeable about the cave and was informative in fun way. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
