Cosmic Cavern was discovered in 1845, but wasn'€™t developed until 1927. The cave features a 9 foot soda straw the longest known in the Ozarks, and two bottomless lakes. One of the lakes was discovered in 1993 in the "Silent Splendor" section which made national news. This was Arkansas’ most delicate discovery. Make sure to bring your camera! Gift Shop, Snacks, Picnic area and camping available.

I moved to the area about 8 years ago and have taken many visitors to Cosmic Caverns because it's beautiful. To get there is a lot of country roads which are a nice drive. Everyone loves it. All the tour guides are great. Took my dad and stepmom (who are septuagenarians) and they loved it (even with some crazy steep... More

Great Tour guide with a sense of humor. Nice size cave and worth the money, and little drive. Easy walking and stairs. Great for shutterbugs.

Family of 7 ranging from 4 yrs. to 70 yrs. I admit I was nervous about the 1st set of steps and my four year old going down them. However, we did fine and once down it was beautiful inside. Privately held cave so we were able to touch a few places on the walls and the kids really enjoyed... More

This was the first cavern we went to on our trip, it was very beautiful, had some right places, and a rustic feel to it. Out your guide, trista ( I hope I got her name right) was very friendly and informative and made the your that much more enjoyable. The best of the 3 caverns we visited that day.

The tour was about an hour long and very informative. The guide knew a lot of history about the cave and the formations. It's not the prettiest cave we've toured, but it is unique. We enjoyed it.

This cavern was very nice. We had visited another local cavern the same day, but this one was better. The cavern was larger with more formations to see. We enjoyed our visit.

The cave was amazing. The guide was negative and inappropriate for children. He constantly talked about how not to go to Onyx Cave because they were "liars," told some story about how we used to be very bad people and put a fence at the entrance of the cave for bats to cling to then poured gasoline on them and... We don’t like bad reviews, but in this case it led to the termination of that guide. It would have been helpful if we had the name of the guide, but it was evident from some of the things said who it was. We want everyone to have a good experience and we do have more return business than any... More

I really enjoyed this stop. Really great cave that has been forming for 9000 years. Just beautiful. Not too difficult to walk through. There's even a part they opened more recently in 1995. The wild tour sounds cool.

Super cool experience, I do wish we had a more educated tour guide. He started the tour by telling the group he has only been there a month and we are welcome to ask questions and he will just make up the answers. I also wish they told us they offered a "wild" tour so you could go explore more.

We do offer a wild tour (check out the back of our brochure) and is talked about in great length while in the cave. It is required you take the regular first. Sorry about the guide, we will work on him. More

The cavern was located approximately 45 minutes for Branson. It was an easy drive, with some very good scenery. Upon arrival, we all checked in together to receive a group discount. They put us all together in a group, and we ranged in age is from 6 to 88! We had a very interesting guy did explain to us the... More
