When Sam Walton opened his 5&10 on the Bentonville town square in 1950, he had no idea he'd planted the seeds for what would become the global leader in retail, saving millions of people money so they could live better. Today, that humble little dime store is the location of The Walmart Museum. A family-friendly experience in 3 parts, the Museum features a world-class exhibit gallery, Walton's 5&10, and The Spark Cafe. Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.M. - 9:00 P.M. Friday - Saturday: 8:00a.M. - 10:00P.M. Sunday: 12:00 p.M. - 9:00 P.M.

This is a must-see in Arkansas. SAM Walton’s Story, business principles, heart, entrepreneurship and dedication to his associates are on display in the museum. Enter from the 5&10. Watch the short heart-warming video and use the interactive text feature. Finish with creamy ice cream. Step...More

Learning about the genesis of one of the world's great business success stories is really quite interesting. The pioneering in learning and meeting customer needs, computerizing inventory, etc., well, it sounds corny but it's actually worth the time. Who knew?

Went to this museum on a family visit to Arkansas. It is located in Sam Walton’s original five and ten cent store and it tells the story of great business success with artifacts, videos and graph. If you call in advance you can get a...More

Enjoyed the museum. Admission is free. Worth it if you have a little time to spend reading all the information.

The museum itself is fun and informative (if, no surprise here, very one-sidedly pro-Walmart), but the real joy of this place are the incredibly sweet people who greet you upon arrival, explain the exhibits, and work in the shop and soda fountain. Definitely a fine...More

Interesting to adults, the story behind Walmart is well presented. Very open space. Can let children go as there is nothing they can do except run around and get some energy out.

This was a great place to take a break from driving. The town square is pristine and the Walmart museum was very interesting and informative. My favorite though was chatting with the volunteer in the 5 & 10. She told us about a connection between...More

This is simply the old functioning store selling vintage toys with a "museum" behind it. The museum has about 30 or so displays that illustrate the story of Sam Walton the evolution of Wal-Mart. It is interesting but not nicely done. With a little effort...More

There isn't much to do around this area, so you might as well stop in and check out this place. It is free and wont take long. It is a self guided tour singing the praises of Wal-Mart. You can see how the mighty giant...More

Hi Nancy C! We do not offer any bus shuttles. However, Bentonville does offer plenty of free parking around the square. There are a few parking lots, versus street parking, where a camper would fit.
